LGBTQ Tour to South Africa - I can't recommend Detours based in Vancouver and Out Of Office in London for arranging a most exciting two weeks in South Africa covering Cape Town, The Wineries, Kruger Park Safari and then Jo'berg. This was my first group travel and the leader - Darren Frances - was brilliant. The hotels and restaurants were excellent and all the trips were smooth running and seemed faultless due to Darren's professionalism. These companies arrange tours throughout the year and I look forward to using their services again

Super day very impressive - A perfect day with a great driver. A delicious beer on the beach. You must have seen the Pico. In addition, the work on palm oil extraction. Several beaches, the market and the city visited. A great impression of the island.

It is a very exiting tour - It was a very exiting tour. We visited Equator on a small island. We were the only 4 passengers in our cruise ship come to this place! Many thanks to our driver Jeremias Monteiro. The road is very rough and we had very tight schedule, but he managed to let us came back on time. We had a great time!

Super recommend! - I made the south tour of the island of São Tomé with Luis Miguel during a visit in February 2025. She was traveling alone, but Louis was extremely caring and respectful. The tour on the Ilhéu das Rolas is really worth it! He adapted the tour based on what I wanted to see and according to my availability of time, showing itself quite flexible to serve the customers. The boat transport and lunch on the island were paid apart, but everything very well organized. If you are on the island looking for an experienced guide, I recommend the tour with him!

Strongly recommend Luis Miguel's services - Strongly recommend Luis Miguel. He took us a half-day City tour and then on two of his one day tours, one down south down the east coast and the other to the centre of the island. His selection of where to go was very good and what he told us about the island and its history was always interesting. He took us to two good places for lunch - excellent food. His 4X4 was very comfortable, which helped a lot on some of the roads and tracks!

Wonderful trip around SaoTome Island - Luis was a great guide and really looked after us , we did think about hiring a car but we would never have found the wonderful places that Luis took us , some them off road Lunches were in interesting restaurants with tasting menus and some in the rain forest The beaches and water falls were idyllic Thanks Luis once again for the three trips , Also excellent safe driving and excellent English spoken We would love to come back to your beautiful island

Great safe experience! - We spent 1 day with J P and 3 days with Luis Miguel. Great communication via WhatsApp during planning. We did north, middle, south and illheus das rollas. We had 4 great days. Touring, lovely swimming in beaches and waterfall. Great lunches. Driving was safe and good info provided. We even sas a turtle on the way to illheus das rollas! Best careful of mozzies in botanical gardens though! Highly recommend Luis Miguel for tours.

Basic but nice - Had to find our contact out of a chaos of intimidating drivers. Once found we had a very nice and very safe-driving guide, Mateus. It's a little pricey, but others on our cruise paid more using a taxi. There are not many options while on a cruise but this was way better than using the cruise to book our day trip.

Do not book on a day trip - Miguel was a nice and patient person but very unreasonable to ask me to wait after standing there for 1.5 hours for all passengers to get off ship which was 2.5 hours at least. He wanted to cut down the tour for same price. I ended up getting my own transport. I was livid. I'm on a private tour why should I wait? He said as the owner he has to make sure all of the tours go smoothly but that's not fair for a private tour to not start until well after 2 hours of meeting time. Never again!!!! Further he says this tour is only available for 4 days. So why say full day tour after I arrive it changed

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. DANGEROUS VEHICLE AND DANGEROUS DRIVER. TOUR BASIC - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS MAN. To book his tours you pay a very small deposit and the rest in cash on the day - DON'T GO THERE. The tour is NOT worth it, which ever tour it might be with him. In over twenty five years of travelling the world this is the WORST tour we have ever done. I emailed Luis, but after he had taken the money for the tour, which he does up front before you leave the port, he doesn't want to know. And needless to say he has not bothered to reply to my email. The tour guide / driver (same man) we had understood more English than he spoke. The van we had, which is described as an air conditioned vehicle, is not, the A/C didn't work, so we had to have the windows open. The van kept breaking down, it was old and really not fit for purpose and we did doubt we would even get back to the ship. The driver / guide phoned Luis a number of times, but he wasn't helpful and left the driver / guide to get on with it. The driver / guide himself kept loosing concentration / falling asleep and veering off the road, or into massive pot holes. Each time he did that the van stopped working. Not safe. Fortunately there is very few vehicles on the roads outside of the city. All six of us on this tour were disgusted. If you stop at this port you will be better off, when you finally make it off the ship, in booking a tour with one of the people standing there trying to get your attention, in a vehicle you can see and a person you can speak with and negotiate the price. Other people we know did this and paid less for much better than we did by booking in advance. I hope this review will help other not waste their money with this time waster.
