São Filipe Airport - Upon arrival, be warmly greeted by the travel representative, who will be waiting for you at Fogo Airport with a sign displaying your name, as previously provided. You will then be transferred to São Filipe, the island’s capital.

São Filipe - Begin your exploration at the Main Square, discovering “Sobrados” in this charming town adorned with colorful colonial houses.

Municipal Museum - Proceed to the quaint Municipal Museum to admire the simplicity of objects that depict the local history.

Achada Fuma - Venture inland to the small villages of Achada Furna and Cabeça Fundão. Learn about the history of the residents whose homes were engulfed by lava during the 2014 volcanic eruption.

Parque Natural do Fogo - Continue to Chã das Caldeiras National Park and be captivated by the stunning view from the base of Cape Verde’s highest mountain, the active volcano, one of the country’s top attractions.

Chã das Caldeiras - Enjoy a well-deserved lunch in a local setting and, at your own expense, sample or purchase some of the world’s finest wines. Overnight stay in Chã das Caldeiras.

Chã das Caldeiras - Be picked up from your accommodation in Chã das Caldeiras and walk with your guide to the base of the Volcano. From there, admire the regular view of its active volcanic cone, where the last eruption took place in 2014.

Pico Do Fogo - Begin the ascent with your local guide adjusting the pace to match your abilities. After 3 hours, reach Cape Verde’s highest peak, Pico do Fogo, the third highest mountain in the Atlantic Ocean, standing at 2829 meters. Relish one of the steepest and most spectacular volcanic cones in the world and pause for a well-deserved picnic, enjoying an unforgettable 360-degree panoramic view over the entire island of Fogo. Experience the thrill of touching the sky above the clouds before starting the exhilarating descent through ash for half an hour, sinking knee-deep in Lapilli, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Hiking Chã das Caldeiras – Coffee Plantation – Mosteiros & Dip into a Natural Pool

Mosteiros - After passing through Pai António, arrive at the center of Mosteiros and explore a predominantly agricultural municipality, where the main crops include coffee, grapes, cotton, and purgueira.

São Filipe - Hotel drop-off. Overnight stay in São Filipe.
