Hang Gliding in Rio de Janeiro - Starting from the meeting point, participants proceed to the hang gliding association’s office at the same location to register for the flight. Following registration, they drive up to the take-off point at Pedra Bonita in Tijuca Forest National Park.
At the take-off location, while the hang glider is being assembled by the assistants, participants put on the harness and helmet. They practice take-off, landing, and other flight procedures, conduct an equipment inspection, and then are ready to take off and enjoy the flight.

Great hang gliding experience - This was an amazing hang gliding experience. The booking process was smooth and the whole hang gliding experience was made easy by our instructors who explained everything clearly. I didn’t feel nervous at all. Book with justflyrio I highly recommend had a great experience.

Unforgottable hang gliding and paragliding experience in Rio - Such unforgettable experience! Paulo was very good and easy to communicate. I booked for 4 people and all the instructors were good, knowledgeable and able to speak English. My instructor was Bebe, he was so fun and full of energy!
My family loved it and had good memory at Rio with this wonderful experience. Highly recommend making a contact to Paulo on the website directly and book for your flight 🪂

Super recommend! - Before jumping I was cold in my stomach, though the desire to fly was immense. Paul gave me all the security and confidence necessary for me to go without hesitation. And it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! The day was beautiful, the wonderful view and the feeling of being in the air indescribable! I can't see the time to fly again!

Fun and safe! - Super friendly people. Professionally run outfit. Lots of experience gliding. Very safe. Good communication.
I booked this for my 14 year old daughter who wanted to hang glide. I had no previous experience with this type of activity. Didn’t know what to expect.
Paulo was a good communicator. He took safety seriously. We had to delay her flight one day due to the weather conditions. He said it would be pushing safety if we flew that day. I’m glad he did. Had a great flight the next day!
Zero was the guide that took my daughter hang gliding. Him and Paulo have been doing this since the 80’s. Both have several thousand flights!
The flight lasted about 7-8 minutes. They take you from the meeting point at the beach up to the launch site. You can watch other jump before going. They give you a little of what to expect and what to do and then off you go.
Round trip from Copacabana beach including the flight and traffic coming back it took us 3 hrs. (Left at 8 and got back to hotel at 11)
Highly recommend if you are looking to hang glide!

We had a busy visit to... - We had a busy visit to Rio along with so many here for Carnaval. We were able to make reservations with Just Fly Rio and couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience! Great communication and well organized, Paulo was amazing. When we met early in the morning Zero was our flight companion and not only friendly but gave great instruction and we were so pleased to fly with him! Just an amazing experience and would highly recommend them!

Indescribably great! - The experience was great from start to finish. The drive up the mountain is enjoyable and surprisingly fast. Then the setup before flight went by quick and easy.
The actual flight in the hang glider is indescribable. The feeling of flying mixed with the views of the beach, Christ, the community, it's something you have to see to believe.
Cannot recommend this experience and this team enough, they are the real deal and pay attention and care at every step. Great work!

Felt like a quick cash grab - The views were incredible and the process was pretty smooth for me. But in hindsight I would not have booked with them.
I booked this with my partner. Whilst booking they asked for our weight and gave us the go ahead. It wasn’t until we got to the activity on the day that they told us my partner’s weight was above the threshold for hang gliding. As a result, she had to do paragliding instead. That was fun too but it was not what we were looking forward to or expected. They should have disclosed this with us when we made our booking a week before our appointment instead of on the day of our appointment when we had arrived in São Conrado. Additionally, it seems the weight threshold for hang gliding is quite low so more people end up doing paragliding instead of hang gliding. As a result the queue for paragliding is quite long. I ended up waiting for over 1hr for my partner with no prior warning and despite being assured we will do it together.
The landing instructions for paragliding were not communicated clearly so my partner and the instructor fell when landing resulting to an injury on partners knee.
Hang gliding was fun but I didn’t have a fun experience with Just Fly.
