- Vatnshellir Cave - The Vatnshellir lava cave is a fascinating lava tube situated in an 8,000-year-old lava field. This formation resulted from an eruption at the nearby Purkhólar crater. During the eruption, lava flowed downhill, cooling on the surface while continuing to flow beneath, eventually draining out and creating this stunning lava tube, which is now open to visitors.

- Djupalonssandur Beach - Djúpalónssandur Black Beach: This black pebble beach is located at the tip of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The small pebbles have been smoothed by ocean waves, and among them lie rusty remnants of a shipwreck from 1948. Historically, fishermen tested their strength by lifting heavy stones here. The heaviest stone, Fullsterkur (“full strength”), weighs 154 kg, followed by Hálfsterkur (“half strength”) at 100 kg, Hálfdrættingur (“weakling”) at 54 kg, and Amlóði (“useless”) at 23 kg. These stones were traditionally used to determine a man’s eligibility for work on fishing boats, with Hálfdrættingur being the minimum weight required to lift onto a ledge at hip height.
- Londrangar Basalt Cliffs - Lóndrangar Cliffs: These impressive rock peaks have formed through the erosion of surrounding materials. Lóndrangar consists of volcanic basalt plugs, standing at 75 and 61 meters tall.
Kirkjufell and Kirkjufell Waterfall: Kirkjufell, located on the northern side of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, is one of Iceland’s most scenic mountains. It may also be familiar from television. With the nearby Kirkjufell Waterfall, it offers a breathtaking and unforgettable nature experience.
