This easy, three-hour adventure takes you along winding mountain roads and picturesque landscapes, leading to hidden areas known only to the Red-Shanked Douc Langurs, also known as Rare Monkeys.

During the breeding season (March to July), you may encounter lively offspring, observe adults or the alpha male, or simply enjoy watching monkeys in their natural behavior. You’ll learn to distinguish between males and females, estimate their age, and engage in real-time research by assisting in data collection on the monkeys we encounter. Along the way, you’ll also meet a variety of forest creatures, including birds, colorful butterflies, plants, and occasionally mongoose.

As we journey along the trail, there will be opportunities to converse with local wildlife photographers. Gain insights and admire their stunning photos for a deeper understanding of the monkeys.

In addition to seeking out rare animals, you’ll have the chance to witness the breathtaking hidden scenery of Monkey Mountain, including secret beaches, all of which will combine to make this trip full of delightful surprises.

Meeting times may vary slightly depending on weather and season, as these affect the animals’ active periods. The meeting could be at 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM, and you will be notified if there are any changes.

Red Shanked Douc Langurs are endangered primates primarily found in Vietnam, with Son Tra being their natural habitat. Observing a species so close to extinction is a rare and valuable experience.
