Situated at a depth of 208 meters, the Slănic Prahova Saline covers an area of 53,000 square meters and has been accessible to visitors since after 1970. The saline features 14 trapezoidal rooms, with a base width of 32 meters, a top width of 10 meters, and a height of 45 meters. The excavated space contains 2.9 million cubic meters of salt. Additionally, there is an underground sanatorium for asthma patients, offering specialized medical care. The mine is naturally ventilated, maintaining a constant temperature of 12 degrees Celsius year-round.
