• 330 Harbor Dr - Outer Coast Charters offers private, small-group saltwater fishing experiences. The standard duration is 5 hours, but you can adjust the length of your private charter to suit your needs. Our custom adventures are enhanced by the comfort and safety of our “Suzy Q” Stabicraft. This vessel, built in New Zealand, is a double-hulled aluminum Stabicraft 2500 Ultracab XL safety boat. As an Eco-Tour, you’ll enjoy reeling in a variety of fish, capturing photo memories, and then we’ll make every effort to safely release your catch back into the sea.

We’ll be fishing for Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, and Rockfish, and might also encounter Salmon Sharks, Big Rays, Skates, Sculpins, Kelp Greenlings, or Wolf Eels. Our focus will likely be on Mooching rather than Trolling, ensuring everyone has a rod in hand when the fish are biting. This method is preferred over trolling as it typically results in more catches and allows you to feel the bite.

Please note that Fishing Licenses (printed and signed), Rain-Gear, and Waterproof Footwear are required but not included. Purchase your Alaska Fishing License online at the Alaska Fish & Game Store before your trip. Remember to print and sign it, and bring it with you, as it is mandatory to have it on board.

Choose any start time between 6:00 am and 3:00 pm, and select your own return time. Enjoy fishing until you’re ready to stop, then either head back to town or take a scenic tour around the stunning Sitka Sound, known for its breathtaking views and diverse marine life. The private charter includes the first 5 hours.
