Crafted in New Zealand, Suzy-Q is a double-hulled aluminum Stabicraft 2500 Ultracab XL safety boat. Every tour is uniquely designed based on the weather, sea conditions, and optimal wildlife viewing opportunities each day. If conditions permit, the journey will extend to the Saint Lazaria Islands. Alternatively, the tour will explore Sitka Sound and its numerous islands and coves to ensure the best possible adventure for your group.
  Your private charter will highlight the finest locations for scenic and wildlife photography, potentially featuring: Humpback and Grey Whales, Sea Otters, Sea Lions, Dolphins, Harbor Seals, Orcas, Baranof Brown Bears, Eagles, Puffins, various Seabirds, along with stunning Volcano, Mountain, and Ocean Views.

• Saint Lazaria Islands - If conditions permit, the tour will extend to the Saint Lazaria Islands.
  St. Lazaria Island is a bird nesting colony situated twenty miles (32 km) west of Sitka, Alaska, and is part of the Gulf of Alaska unit of the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge. Initially designated as a “refuge for seabirds” in 1909, it received official Wilderness Designation from Congress in 1970 and was incorporated into the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge in 1980. The main island is believed to be the remains of an eroded volcano; a “volcanic plug” whose cliffs host over half a million various species of seabirds.

Choose your preferred start time, anytime between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm. The tour includes 3 hours, but you have the flexibility to adjust the duration of your private tour as desired.

Your tour guide is a Merchant Marine Captain with over 30 years of experience on the water. They will guide you through Sitka Sound, the Saint Lazaria Islands, and Mt. Edgecumbe Volcano for exciting wildlife sightings.

Our base is in Sitka, located on the western side of Baranof Island in the stunning Southeast Alaska. The business is owned and operated by a year-round resident and adventure outfitter.
