Unique and authentic sharing of local culture - Our guide was very engaging, he fed us with information from a local and personal anecdotes that you would not be able to read off google. You could sense his passion in sharing the unique culture and identity of Singapore. The walking food tour was well paced and comfortable even in Singapore’s hot and humid weather, and logistics planning was done to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of the tour group. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Singapore.

Singapore food culture is alive and well - Three and a half hours well spent. The dishes were well chosen, very local taste, and the heritage walk was interesting showing the mixture of Singapore cultures.

Food Tour at Chinatown - I went on a 3½-hour Chinatown/Telok Ayer tour that included visits to local temples and local attractions, along with a food “makan” trip. The most memorable dish was the roasted meat with its thin and crispy skin. It was my first time trying such crispy skin — yummy, yummy! I also got to try the famous laksa at Hong Lim Market and Food Centre. The guide asked us to taste the broth first, which had a special rich and savory flavor from the seafood, especially the prawns and other ingredients. Thanks to the guides (Istoria Collective Singapore) who explained all the history and food in such a detailed and informative way. I learned a lot and got to enjoy many local delights as well!

Highly Recommended Food Tour - This morning, I joined a food tour in Chinatown and sampled a variety of local signature dishes, from traditional street food to well-known local favorites. Between food stops, we took relaxed walks through the area and learned more about the local culture, history, and atmosphere. The pace of the tour was very comfortable, and the combination of good food and cultural exploration made it a truly fulfilling experience. I enjoyed it very much and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Singapore.

Fabulous - Fabulous. I would thoroughly recommend this tour which celebrates the rich and diverse food culture in Singapore which survives entirely on the, early mornings, and hardwork of generations of hawkers who maintain culinary traditions under hot and demanding conditions. It was a great insight into all aspects of Singaporean life along with great conversations. Thanks Ronald and Serena

Thanks for the wonderful time! - Joined Istoria Collective - Flavors of Singapore Food Tour at Chinatown on 15 May 2026 led by guide Serene. Weather was rainy and we braved through sheltered walkways, underground tunnels and aisles to enjoy a session of heritage, history, beautiful monuments and amazing local delights. The tour was well paced and the duration of 3.5 hours was just right. Never imagined being tourists in our own backyard and left with rich memories and full stomachs. Will have no qualms about joining other tours by Istoria Collective!
