Peles Castle - This Neo-Renaissance castle is nestled in the Carpathian Mountains near Sinaia, in Prahova County, Romania. It sits on a historic medieval route connecting Transylvania and Wallachia and was constructed between 1873 and 1914, with its inauguration in 1883. The castle was built for King Carol I.

Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle) - Known internationally as Dracula’s Castle, this iconic Romanian landmark is one of several sites associated with the Dracula legend, alongside Poenari Castle and Hunyadi Castle. It is often mistakenly identified as the residence of the titular character in Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Brasov Historical Center - This city was historically the regional capital of the Transylvanian Saxons in the Burzenland administrative area and a major commercial center on trade routes between East and West. It is also the birthplace of Romania’s national anthem.

Black Church (Biserica Neagra) - Constructed by the city’s German community, this is the country’s main Gothic-style monument and the largest and most significant Lutheran (Evangelical Church of Augustan Confession in Romania) place of worship in the region.

Peasant Fortified Church at Prejmer - Originally founded by the Germanic Teutonic Knights, this church was later taken over by the Transylvanian Saxon community. Initially Roman Catholic, it became Lutheran after the Reformation. Together with its surrounding village, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of villages with fortified churches in Transylvania.

Centrul Istoric Sighisoara - This well-preserved walled old town is a popular tourist attraction and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sighisoara Clock Tower - In every fortification system, there is a dominant fortress: the master-tower. The Clock Tower of Sighișoara (Romanian: Turnul cu Ceas, German: Stundturm) serves as the main entrance to the citadel, opposite Taylor’s Tower.

Cetatea Alba Iulia - The Alba Carolina Citadel is a star-shaped fortress in Alba Iulia, Romania. Its construction began on November 4, 1715, during Habsburg rule in Transylvania, and was completed in 1738. Built by 20,000 serfs, it cost approximately 3 million guldens. The citadel was erected on the site of two previous fortifications: the legionary fortress of Legio XIII Gemina and the medieval Balgrad citadel.

Castelul Corvinilor - Also known as Corvin Castle, Hunyadi Castle, or Hunedoara Castle, this Gothic-Renaissance castle in Hunedoara, Romania, is one of Europe’s largest castles and is listed among the Seven Wonders of Romania.

Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa - The ruins of a Roman settlement.

Sibiu Tourist Information Center - Sibiu is a key cultural hub in Romania and was named the European Capital of Culture in 2007, alongside Luxembourg. Once the center of the Transylvanian Saxons, Sibiu’s old city was ranked as “Europe’s 8th-most idyllic place to live” by Forbes in 2008.
