Great Orangutang experience. - I had a very nice well organised private tour with Eng driver/guide. He was fun and very easy to talk to. Gave me lots of great insight into Penang and Malaysia while driving to the Island. The Orangutang Island was very nice to visit so good to get close to and feed the Orangutangs in a protected area.

Orang utans - Booked this trip but didn't realise we were out of the pick up zone. I contacted the operator asking if we could get picked up for an extra fee. We got a swift reply saying they would pick us up from batu ferringhi at no extra cost, which was amazing. Driver turned up on time. It was about an hour and 45 mins from our resort but it was a pleasant enough journey, with lots of information about the island and culture. We were lucky enough to see quite a few urang utans, and the guide (victor I think) brought along some grapes as apparently it's the Uran utans favourite. He gave us both a handful of grapes so we could feed them and he was right. Amazing experience. I would highly recommend this trip

A first encounter with the orangutans — truly unforgettable. - It was an incredibly enriching experience, and we learned so much about orangutans and about Penang. Our guide recommended starting early in the morning to avoid the heat and the crowds, but most importantly, it allowed us to see many more orangutans — and it truly made a difference. The animals live freely on a sanctuary island where no humans reside; we are merely visitors, which ensures that their well-being is fully respected. Our guide shared a wealth of fascinating information with us, which we greatly appreciated.

Fantastic experience, close up with orangutans - Excellent tour from start to finish. Escorted throughout by a very personable and knowlegable guide. It was lovely to witness the great work of the retreat especially to see little Orchid a 4 month old who was part of the breeding programme. It was also good to see the orangutans free to roam whilst the humans were in a netted walkway. A great encounter from start to finish.

Brilliant orangutan experience - Prompt early pickup from our hotel.Fantastic, knowledgeable guide called K.T, so friendly, great English and explained lots about sites on our journey there and went with us on the whole trip. Also brought some fruit to give to the orangutans. Lovely experience seeing them naturally in the wild, but close up. As a very small group of 4 we were allowed to get right.up close by one fence. Loads of photos and a group photo taken by company came out very well. Lovely 5 hours. K.T only too happy to help. Thankyou for amazing day and experience we won't forget.

Outstanding Tour - This was truly amazing. Be prepared to be moved by the experience. This sanctuary is geared towards not only rescuing orangutans but nurturing them to the point that they may be returned healthy to their native habitat. The staff are committed to excellence and that is demonstrated in every aspect of the sanctuary. The facility and the resources provided for the orangutans is outstanding. Each person we met caring for the orangutans is mission driven, compassionate and dedicated to the wellbeing of their charges. Can’t give enough praise for the work being done. Our guide Ronnie was excellent. He is like a member of the family to those at the sanctuary. He knew the handlers personally and is highly favored. He is personable, knowledgeable, friendly and kind. We had a fantastic day with him as our guide. He likes to add something special to all his tours so satisfaction is almost guaranteed. His English is very good. He also shares interesting information all the way to and from the sanctuary. Consider his tour the gold standard for the orangutans.

Memorable experience, excellent guide! - Memorable experience not to be missed. Our guide, Ronnie, is very knowledgeable. Even the Orangutans know him! We were able to learn a lot not only about the orangutans but about the country and Penang in general… food, history, culture. Recommend going early to see orangutans in their natural habitat before it gets too hot. Our money helps to support the sanctuary and is very much needed. Ronnie would be an excellent guide for any tour, especially private ones. Enjoy the experience!
