Fijian Off-road Expedition - My wife and I did the Off-road Cave Safari as part of our honeymoon. We both really enjoyed the day. From Saddam's family orientated knowledge about the cave to Tia Maria's bubbly personality. Our driver Zac did a great job of looking after us too. The bonus was being part of a Figian ceremony, to gain access to the cave. A cultural experience that was an honour to be a part of. To top this off, the crew prepared a delicious barbecue lunch spread that kept us all full for the remainder of the day. To top our visit off, we did the jet boat experience with Captain Knox who also had plenty of knowledge and did a fantastic job of driving the boat in such shallow water.

Excellent cave/history tour - From start to finish, this cave tour was absolutely incredible! The highlight for us was the team of fantastic tour guides, Una and Moses, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe and welcome throughout the journey. Their passion for Fijian history and culture really shone through and made the experience so much more meaningful.
The historical insights we learned about the caves were fascinating, especially the stories tied to ancient tribal traditions and how the caves were used in the past.
One of the most unique and memorable parts of the tour was meeting the local priest. He welcomed us with a kava ceremony and gave us blessings to enter the cave.
And let’s not forget the BBQ lunch! Fresh, flavorful, and cooked by Moses. It was the perfect way to wrap up an incredible day of exploration and learning.
We also did a boat trip up the River Sigatoka. This was beautiful and captain Josh made it fun and adventurous.
Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Fiji, it’s the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and hospitality!

Away from the tourist traps - If you want to get out of the typical tourist traps this is for you. The experience takes you into the farming centre of Fiji, through local villages, and into a cave system steeped in history.
Moses (our driver and representative to the local priest) and Sadam (our history, area, and cave guide) were funny and informative - and they are from the valley. This was a brilliant half day trip and the best excursion I have had in Fiji because it was really off the beaten track, and I enjoyed spending time with great local people.

A Very Enjoyable and Informative experience - We went as a family of four with children aged 7 and 9. We found the day to be a very enjoyable and informative experience. We weren’t really sure what to expect to be honest, however we were surprised by how much the tour was about Fijian village lifestyle rather than just a cave tour.
Our driver - Moses and our guide Saddam (yes, you read that correctly, however I can assure you that Fijian Saddam is the good Saddam!) gave a great insight into traditional village life as we drove from the river to the cave.
I won’t give much away, but I will say that Saddam gave a really informative tour of the cave - very interesting piece of history.
It is absolutely worth mentioning that Saddam was exceptional. My daughter (7yo) is autistic and has a lot of anxiety and separation issues. She took a real liking to Saddam straight away and demanded she sit next to him on the vehicle. She has never done that with a stranger before. Saddam was so great with her that she stayed with him and held his hand for most of the cave tour which is amazing as she is very scared of the dark.
Saddam, if you read this, thank you for making our day so special and for giving our daughter memories that she will not forget.
One last thing- highly recommend reef shoes be taken as you will have to walk through water that will go half way up your shins - wearing soaked joggers for the rest of the day would not be fun.

10/10 Fijian culture, history and geography - I highly recommend this experience for anyone who wishes to discover authentic Fijian culture, history and geography. Our guides Sadam and Moses are locals to the area and gave us amazing details as we journeyed through.
We started by transferring from our resort to Sigatoka. We then caught another transfer to the base of operations. We took a tiny journey across the Sigatoka River, then a 4wd trip to the actual cave. We travelled through local villages and farms. I appreciated Sadam telling us about the area and culture aspects of living in the region.
Once we reached the cave we met the representative of the Priest family who manage the caves. We completed a traditional kava ceremony (ladies must wear sarongs), received our blessing and then there was a short walk to the cave. Sadam guided us through the caves, explaining the history and geological features. Do take note that you need to wear water shoes as you walk through a stream. There is also one spot where you need to bend over significantly to get under a section.
Days later I am still thinking about the stories Sadam told us in the cave.
After we finished in the cave we were treated to a bbq lunch with delicious local fruits and vegetable.
This experience took us over six hours including transfers from our resort. My children said this was a highlight of their whole trip to Fiji.
