Mt. Bromo to Bondowoso
Ijen Crater - A morning call at 3:00 am will have your Jeep driver ready for the Bromo Sunrise tour. You’ll stand at the sunrise spot known as Kingkong Hill, which is 2600m above sea level, arriving around 4:00 am.
Before the Bromo sunrise, enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee or tea at a small stall in the area as a morning break. The sun rises at 5:30 am, providing a perfect opportunity to capture the breathtaking scenery of the Bromo mountain range. The tour then continues with a drive to Bondowoso for Ijen. You’ll stay at a hotel in Bondowoso, the closest town to the Ijen area. The second day’s tour concludes here, allowing for free time.
Bondowoso to Ijen Crater Finish Ketapang Harbor
Ijen Crater - Rise at 3:00 am to prepare for the journey to the Ijen area, which takes about 1.5 hours to reach the parking lot. Organize any necessary items for the hike, and once ready, begin the trek.
The hike covers a 3 km trail, taking 1-2 hours, with 200 meters flat, 150 meters steep, and the remainder semi-flat. Upon reaching the summit, follow the guide to explore the area. Visitors can enjoy the stunning views of the lake and sunrise from the top of Ijen, where sulfur miners also work.
Return to the parking lot for a morning coffee break at a small coffee shop in the Ijen area, along with a simple breakfast. Afterwards, transfer to your next destination. Drop-off points include Banyuwangi Airport and the ferry port for those traveling to Bali or returning to Malang/Surabaya. The tour concludes around 10:00 am.
