• Sichuan Cuisine Museum - Daily pickups are available from 44 centrally located hotels in Chengdu. The morning tour picks up between 07:30 and 08:00, while the afternoon tour picks up between 11:30 and 12:00. Please provide your hotel details when making a reservation. The local tour supplier will inform you of the exact pickup time. Pickup will be from your hotel lobby, or you will be advised of the nearest pickup hotel to meet your tour guide.

The journey takes 90 minutes, leading you to the Chuancais Museum, nestled in a picturesque garden in Gucheng Village, PiXian County.

Activity 2- 10:00(14:00) Museum Tour

Explore a collection of 6,000 culinary implements, many of which are historic relics.

Activity 3- 10:40(14:40) Pixian Chilly Bean Paste

Discover the traditional techniques of flipping, sunburning, and dewing to make Pixian chilly bean paste; taste Xuanzi pea jelly and savor the delicacy of the chilly bean paste.

Activity 4- 10:55(14:55) Kitchen God Worship Ceremony

Activity 5- 11:10(15:20) Old Sichuan Food Street

Activity 6- 11:15(15:15) DIY a Bean Curd Pudding

Identify various food processing tools. Make chili powder with a Qing Dynasty pestle; experience making bean curd pudding with a grinding machine and enjoy delicious spicy or sweet bean curd pudding.

Activity 7- 11:30(15:30) Sichuan Cuisine Cooking Class

Dress as a Chinese Chef and learn to make 3 Sichuan dishes, mastering cutting skills, heat control, and the cooking process, with personal guidance from a Museum specialist. Dishes include: Kung Pao chicken, Mapo Tofu, Pumpkin steamed dumplings, Daqian dry-braised fish, and boiled beef in chili sauce. Graduate with your first Chinese Chef certificate as a ‘Master of Chuancais’.

Activity 8- 12:40(16:40) Bon appétit

Relish the dishes you have prepared, accompanied by free fruits, red wine, alcohol with special pharmacological functions brewed with traditional Chinese herbs, beverages, fruit and vegetable juice, and covered tea.

Activity 9- 13:40(17:40) Tea Break

Enjoy afternoon tea in a traditional Bamboo teahouse.

Coach transfer back to Chengdu.
