Great overview of town in one cruise port day - Our guide Peter and driver Tom picked us up right outside terminal doors and easy to find. He had texted me on WhatsApp. Rode 2.5 hours to downtown from port and Peter talked about Thailand and Bangkok for the first 90 min in our nice custom van with room for many. They made sure we had bottled water and other treats all day. Led us thru all the crowds and lines. Grand Palace tix center now accepted VISA and other temple had exchange booth and ATM at ticket center so Thai currency was not necessary as write up says. The boat ride on canal was a memorable highlight showing various lifestyles on the area both high and low. Peter led us to a great Thai cafe for lunch where we were well fed and given many options which we really liked. Peter even bought us some Thai dessert from another stand and flowers for my wife which look great in our cruise room. We Ended up in a wholesale fruit & flower market which was amazing to experience first hand. Peter took MANY pics of us all day then air dropped to our phone on ride home. Don’t let the other reviews scare you when they talk about traffic because whether you’re on a motorcycle, van, or bus there is traffic in Bangkok! It’s just part of the experience! We were actually 12 hours from the time we left the ship till we got back, but we were very happy with the whole day as we were expecting the traffic and use that time to talk and ask a lot of questions of Peter about Thai culture and government. Highly recommend

Given as above - Absolutely amazing! Despite the weekend crowds and the sweltering heat, my husband and I had a fantastic time exploring the Palace. We decided to hire a guide before our visit, and it proved to be a worthwhile investment for the insightful stories and information provided in English. One important tip for future visitors is to be mindful of the dress code. While many think it's sufficient to cover shoulders and knees, I learned firsthand that there are specific requirements. I wore leggings under a miniskirt, only to be informed that I needed to rent or buy a sarong to comply with the dress code before entering. It's a good idea to be prepared and ensure your attire aligns with the guidelines to fully enjoy this incredible experience.

A beautiful day out in Bangkok - What an incredible excursion in Bangkok! We, a group of four, booked through Travel Hub as our cruise ship docked 1.5 hours away from Bangkok. Our guide, Wat, was phenomenal. His knowledge, sense of humor, kindness, photography skills, and easy-going nature were truly appreciated. On the first day, we explored Ayutthaya, Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, Botanical Gardens, Wat Wan, and beautiful temples. To avoid the long drive back to the boat, we decided to stay overnight in the city and were picked up the next morning. Day two took us to the Grand Palace, Wat Phra (Emerald Buddha), Wat Arun, a long-tail boat ride, and the market. We experienced so much. I highly recommend this itinerary, and a massive thank you to Wat for everything. You were terrific!
