Petra - Discover Jordan’s most famous attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Petra, known as the Rose-Red City, was the remarkable capital of the Nabataean kingdom. Its ruins remained largely unknown to the world until 1812 when Swiss explorer JL Burckhardt, disguised as an Arab scholar, entered the city. It is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Stroll through the Siq, a long, winding sandstone canyon leading to the magnificent Treasury. Explore the city, including the Street of Facades, the Roman Theater, and the Royal Tombs. After the visit, depart Petra for Wadi Rum.
Wadi Rum Protected Area - Recently designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Wadi Rum showcases exceptional natural beauty and cultural importance. Inhabited since prehistoric times, it gained fame from Lawrence of Arabia, who stayed there during the Arab Revolt of 1916 against the Ottomans. It is Jordan’s largest desert and one of the world’s most stunning desert landscapes. From the terrain, flora, and fauna to the sites and the culture of the local Bedouins, there is much to experience in Rum, whether on a jeep tour, camel trek, hike, or even a hot-air balloon ride. Arrive at your camp in the heart of the desert. Dinner and overnight stay.
