Join this educational yet irreverent and humorous exploration of Tokyo’s darker side, where you’ll visit sites of some of the city’s most notorious crimes. These range from offenses that could result in a life sentence to those that might lead to a war crimes tribunal.

The tour begins in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho neighborhood, known as Tokyo’s organized crime hub and red-light district. Here, participants will learn about gang conflicts, shocking murders, jilted lovers, and Tokyo’s quasi-legal sex industry.
Next, the tour proceeds to Toyama Park, often referred to as Tokyo’s mini-Auschwitz. This mysterious location is haunted by the spirits of victims from Unit 731’s horrific human experimentation projects.
Finally, the tour concludes at Aoyama Cemetery, an ideal setting for traditional Japanese ghost stories. Visitors will also pay respects at the grave of Japan’s beloved and loyal dog, Hachiko.
