The adventure starts at 7:30 a.m. from Shinjuku Station, utilizing various public transportation options (train, bus, and cable car) to avoid traffic congestion. Participants will return to Shinjuku before 6:00 p.m. (to ensure a safe schedule).
After gathering at Shinjuku, a central hub in Tokyo, the group will take a commuter train to JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, followed by a bus to the trailhead. From there, the hike will last approximately 3 hours through lush greenery and the picturesque Rock Garden, culminating at Mitake Shrine atop Mt. Mitake.
After exploring the shrine, there will be a stop at a local restaurant near the summit. For those interested in an authentic lunch at a shrine lodging, please inform us in advance, and we will make every effort to secure a reservation. If there are any dietary restrictions due to religion or allergies, please notify us beforehand, and we will strive to accommodate your needs.
Post-lunch, a short walk will lead to the cable car station, followed by a descent via cable car and bus to JR Mitake Station. The journey back to Shinjuku takes approximately 90 minutes.
