During the Ras Mohammed excursion, the guide will pick up participants from the hotel at approximately 8:30 AM in a comfortable minibus. There will be a stop at a rental shop where, if needed, participants can rent masks, fins, vests, and swimsuits for an additional fee.
The excursion begins at Ras Mohammed by entering through the Gate of Allah. Participants can then take a dip in the Lake of Desires, known for its wonderful water with healing properties that can heal wounds and treat skin conditions.
The next stop is for snorkeling in the breathtaking Red Sea at Barracuda Bay. Ras Mohammed is renowned for its extraordinary coral beauty and a variety of colorful fish.
The reserve is home to nesting sites for seven species of rare waterfowl, and on its northern coast, there are expansive mangroves, which will also be visited. Mangrove trees grow in seawater and desalinate it by evaporating the salt on the underside of their leaves.
Around 2:30 PM, participants will return to the hotel.

Come quickly - A day in yacth, discovering the seas, I recommend it to those who are ready for adventure! Fantastic first snorkeling experience! Just a mask and you can see the wonders of the coral reef and its inhabitants, the white island! Beautiful! There is swimming a bit.

Fantastic - We had such a great time, even with our two little ones (3 and 6 years old). Snorkeling together was amazing, and the dive was just perfect thanks to our instructors who were super helpful and patient. The whole team was wonderful—always smiling and ready to help.
The trip was good value for money. It wasn’t crowded at all (despite what some people say), and the food was fine. Honestly, it was a fantastic experience!
Definitely a must-do with Sharm Gate. Some people might try to sell you a higher price elsewhere for “better quality,” but I really think we got the best quality for the best price.

Mediocre Experience – Watch Out for Extra Charges - Unfortunately, our overall experience was rather mediocre, even though some parts of the tour were enjoyable.
The snorkeling section was the most disappointing. The guide basically forced us to rent life jackets and snorkeling equipment (two life jackets and two pairs of fins for a total of €18), even though we can swim and didn’t really need them. In the end, we only did about 20 minutes of snorkeling, so the cost felt quite excessive compared to the actual time spent.
The photo service was also a letdown. At the beginning, we were told that the photographer was a professional and that we would decide ourselves how much to pay based on the photos and videos. Instead, at the end we were asked for €20 per couple for a small number of pictures, many of them crooked or blurry, and for very poor underwater videos, mostly showing people swimming with their life jackets. The coral reef was barely filmed, except for a couple of extremely short clips.
I’m not saying the excursion should be completely avoided, because there were some nice moments. But I will give one piece of advice: don’t let yourselves be pressured.
If you can swim, life jackets, fins, and wetsuits are not really necessary (the water was pleasant, despite being told otherwise at the rental point). And if you have your own camera or underwater action cam, that’s definitely better than relying on the photographer.
I hope this review helps others enjoy the experience in a more transparent and informed way.
