Setting Sail on the Red Sea

The sun was just beginning to rise over the horizon as I found myself boarding a large, three-tiered boat in Sharm El-Sheikh. The air was crisp, and the anticipation of the day ahead was palpable. As a former professional surfer, I’ve spent countless hours in the ocean, but the allure of the Red Sea’s underwater world was something I couldn’t resist. The promise of exploring the White Island and other hidden gems was enough to get me out of my usual Caribbean haunts and into the heart of Egypt.

The crew welcomed us with warm smiles and a sense of camaraderie that immediately put everyone at ease. With a maximum of 25 passengers, the boat felt spacious and comfortable, allowing us to mingle and share stories of our travels. The camaraderie among the passengers grew as we shared stories and laughter, united by our shared love for the ocean. It was a day that reminded me of the simple joys of island life, where time seems to slow down, and the beauty of nature takes center stage.

As we sailed back to shore, the sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange. It was the perfect end to a perfect day, and I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience such a breathtaking adventure.
