Not the normal Shanghai tour - My guide and driver met me at the hotel and started out at the 1933 Shanghai area for some architectural highlights, who knew an art deco slaughter house could be so interesting? A visit to the old city wall, and the house that held the first CPC meeting in 1921. The museum is really well done with the stirring sounds of the International playing. Oddly Tibetan Monks and Uyghurs were wandering around it at the same time, and hundreds of Communist Youth League members wanting to practice English. Toured the French Garden and Zhou Enlai’s residence, his Buick Eight [194?] was on display. The Sun Yat-sen residence was closed for renovation. Had soup dumplings, very good, for lunch. Went to the temple of the 2 Jade Buddha’s really beautiful. I was also surprised to receive a gift at the end of the tour, really enjoyed the day.

I had a wonderful time!... - I had a wonderful time! My guide was Peggy. She was wonderful. She was easy to get along with, spoke amazing English, took great photos, and helped me plan a unique trip around the city! I recommend this tour to anyone who has the free day. It was amazing to see all of the sights and you will have the opportunity to ask someone lots of questions about life and history in China.

Fabulous tour guide to see the longtangs in Shanghai - We hired Peggy (and a driver) from Jenny's Shanghai Tours to walk us through the old long tangs -- which are slowly disappearing in Shanghai. We have used the tour company a few times in the past. Peggy was awesome, well documented, articulate and took us to many locations in Shanghai (long tangs). She is excellent and the tour was memorable. Thumbs up.
