• People’s Square - The tour guide will meet the group at the hotel at 9:00 a.m. From there, the group will travel to People’s Square using public transportation to begin the highlight tour.
  Shanghai People’s Square is centrally located in Shanghai, marking the division between East Nanjing Road and West Nanjing Road. It is a vibrant area for exploration.
  Before 1949, the site of Shanghai People’s Square and the People’s Park was a renowned horse racetrack, established in 1861 and known as the ‘No.1 Racetrack in the Far East’. Visitors can still see the remnants of the former main building in the northeast part of People’s Square.
  The tour will include many scenic spots around People’s Square, such as the new Municipal Government Mansion, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai History Museum, and the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. The group will then visit the Shanghai Museum.
• Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan) - Situated in the heart of Shanghai at People’s Square, the Shanghai Museum is a large museum dedicated to ancient Chinese art. Its design and presentation immerse visitors in artifacts that reflect ancient wisdom and philosophy. The museum’s exterior, with its round dome and square base, symbolizes the ancient concept of a round heaven and a square earth.
  The museum features eleven galleries and three exhibition halls. The eleven galleries encompass major categories of Chinese art: Ancient Bronze, Ancient Ceramics, Paintings, Calligraphy, Ancient Sculpture, Ancient Jade, Coins, Ming and Qing Furniture, Seals, and Minority Nationalities.
• The Bund - The group will stroll along the Bund, observing 26 buildings of various architectural styles.
  The Bund is a renowned waterfront on the west bank of the Huangpu River and is considered a symbol of Shanghai. It showcases Shanghai’s allure as a bustling metropolis that blends a century-old history with a thriving future, making the Bund a must-see attraction in Shanghai.
• Huangpu River - The Huangpu River separates two iconic yet distinct Shanghai views: the modern skyscrapers of the Pudong area and the 26 diverse architectural buildings on the west side.
  The group will enjoy a one-hour cruise along the Huangpu River, taking in the beautiful scenery on both sides, including the Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, and Jin Mao Tower.

Afterwards, the group will head to Yunnan Road, known for its delightful eateries, perfect for a quick meal. Lunch will be enjoyed nearby before proceeding to the next destination.

In the afternoon, the group will explore local markets, Xintiandi, Yuyuan Old Street, and other lively areas frequented by locals.

• Bird And Flower Market (South Xizang Road) - The tour begins at the intersection of Tibet Road and Fangbang Road, in one of Shanghai’s antique neighborhoods, also known as the cricket market. It is filled with flowers, bonsai, birds, fish, insects, and bustling crowds searching for their desired items. It offers a glimpse into local life.
• Xintiandi - Xintiandi is a tourist destination that preserves Shanghai’s historical and cultural features while blending Chinese and Western cultures. Xintiandi is divided into northern and southern sections. The south features modern architecture, while the north is characterized by Shikumen old buildings. This area, combining Shikumen and modern architectural styles, has become a trendy pedestrian street in the city center, representing the leisurely lifestyle of the city’s new generation. Outdoor cafes, bars, and romantic restaurants are abundant.
• Shikumen Museum, Shanghai - This museum is housed in an old Shikumen house built in the 1920s, which has been preserved and renovated. The museum replicates a 1920s household with seven main exhibition rooms: the guest room, study room, old people’s room, master room, daughter room, pavilion room, and oven room. The story of a Shikumen family is woven throughout the visit, showcasing Shanghai’s unique Shikumen architectural culture and recreating the living space and lifestyle of Shanghai residents of that era.
• Yuyuan Old Street - Shanghai Old Street, historically known as Miaoqian Dajie, is a historic business street that combines tourist attractions, shops, entertainment, and cultural exhibits. Its unique social attractions and rich commercial history stem from being home to the city’s earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler’s store, wine shop, and tea house. Exploring the old alleys of Shanghai is an excellent way to discover the city’s traditional culture and experience the authentic life of the Shanghainese.
  Visitors can walk to the Zigzag Nine Bend Bridge, which is believed to bring good luck due to the auspicious symbolism of the number nine in Chinese culture. The bridge leads to the Mid-Lake Pavilion Teahouse, the oldest teahouse in Shanghai.
• Shanghai Tower - As a new landmark of Shanghai, the Shanghai Tower stands as the tallest building in the city, reaching a height of 632 meters. The 118th floor features the world’s highest indoor observation deck, known as the ‘Top of Shanghai Observatory’. Visitors are encouraged to first explore the exhibition hall on floor B1, then take the express elevator to the 118th floor in just 55 seconds, with a speed of 18 meters per second. From here, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Shanghai, with time to admire the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River and enjoy a coffee or tea on the 119th floor. If the weather permits, a spectacular sunset may be visible.

  Spending the evening walking and shopping on this vibrant street is a delightful experience. It is a key part of Shanghai’s nightlife, illuminated by colorful lights. Music fountains in Century Square add to the street’s charm and liveliness.

Finally, the group will return to the hotel using public transportation. Cherish the memories and bid farewell at the hotel.
