• The Bund - The tour guide will meet the group at the hotel at 9:00 a.m. From there, the group will travel to the Bund using public transportation. The Bund is a renowned waterfront located on the west bank of the Huangpu River and is considered a symbol of Shanghai. It beautifully showcases Shanghai’s allure as a vibrant metropolis that blends a rich history with a promising future, making it a must-visit destination. Visitors will admire 26 diverse buildings featuring various architectural styles, including the Peace Hotel, Shanghai Customs House, and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to appreciate the skyscrapers across the Huangpu River.

Next, the group will head to Yuyuan Old Street to experience the authentic Shanghai atmosphere, visit a classical garden, and explore traditional Chinese medicine stores.

• Yuyuan Old Street - Historically known as Miaoqian Dajie, Shanghai Old Street is a historic business street that combines tourist attractions, shops, entertainment, and cultural exhibits. Its unique social appeal and rich commercial history stem from being home to the city’s earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler’s store, wine shop, and tea house. Exploring the old alleys of Shanghai offers a wonderful opportunity to discover the city’s traditional culture and experience the genuine lifestyle of the Shanghainese.
• Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - Later, the group will tour Yu Garden, which was initially constructed in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty by Pan Yunduan as a place of comfort for his father, Minister Pan En, in his later years. Pan Yunduan began the project after not passing one of the imperial exams, but his appointment as governor of Sichuan delayed construction for nearly two decades until 1577. Yu Garden is compact but contains all the elements of a classical Chinese garden, including pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds, and cloisters, each with distinct characteristics. The garden is divided into six areas, each with its own unique style.

At noon, the group will enjoy lunch nearby. Afterward, they will explore the Former French Concession, Xintiandi, and Tianzifang to experience the striking contrast between early 20th-century Western-style architecture and modern structures built since the 1990s.

• Former French Concession - Known for its tree-lined streets and intriguing blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles, the former French Concession is one of Shanghai’s most charming areas. It is popular among locals, expats, and tourists and is home to numerous top attractions, as well as trendy cafés, restaurants, bars, clubs, boutiques, galleries, and museums.
• Xintiandi - The group will explore the SHIKUMEN-style old houses and the relaxed atmosphere of Xintiandi. Xintiandi is a tourist destination that preserves Shanghai’s historical and cultural features while integrating Chinese and Western culture. It is divided into northern and southern sections, with the south featuring modern architecture and the north showcasing Shikumen old buildings. Comprising both Shikumen and modern architectural styles, it has become a vibrant and fashionable pedestrian street in the city’s center. It represents the popular and leisurely lifestyle of the city’s new generation. Outdoor cafés, bars, and romantic restaurants are abundant. Once the site of the first congress of the Communist Party, it is now lined with shopping and entertainment venues.
• Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan) - The group will proceed to People’s Square to visit the Shanghai Museum and learn about Shanghai’s profound history and culture. Situated in the heart of Shanghai at People’s Square, the Shanghai Museum is a large museum dedicated to ancient Chinese art. Its design and presentation immerse visitors in artifacts that reflect ancient wisdom and philosophy. The museum’s exterior, featuring a round dome and square base, symbolizes the ancient concept of a round heaven and a square earth. • Nanjing Lu (Nanjing Road) - Nanjing Road is renowned as the ‘No. 1 commercial street in China’ and has long been a landmark of the city. Stretching 5.5 kilometers, it features over 600 shops that attract approximately 1.7 million visitors daily. Here, shoppers can find everything from unique and affordable souvenirs to luxurious world-famous brands.

After completing all the activities outlined in the itinerary, the group will return to the hotel, marking the end of the service.
