Great experience in Shanghai for a private family tour - I would like to leave a review, because sometimes it is hard to understand what to expect and so many options available. It was our first time in Shanghai and more than 20 years since I went China before. The preps were overwhelming and we also had a very short time in such a big city as Shanghai and wanted to see everything, but also wanted to keep it easy, as we were just arriving, jetlag etc. Booking with Eastbound was the best decision. In one day we covered the main point of interest and beyond. It was just our family, so convenient. Tied exactly to our expectations, even though those could be somewhat conflicting. Our guide, Yi, got it just right - he gave me the time to take pictures, just as I love, and was able to appeal to my husband and our 10 years old son, who have completely different desires than me. My son says the best part of our two weeks in China was the day with Yi. We also rented a personal driver to follow us during the day and that was very convenient as well, though I really do not like when someone else is driving me, but not this time: the car was very spacious and comfortable(new Chinese EV) and the driver Jackie was awesome. Very calm driver and spoke great English. Another reason why it was so beneficial for us to book this trip is that Yi enabled us for future travel in China on our own. He ensured we were able to use the needed apps and could pay. And most important - introduced us to local foods and brands like Chagee and Lukin coffee. I fell in love with Chagee. And I can tell you if not Yi, I would not be even considering them or noticing them on my own. All in all, it was a great experience and provided what it advertised and beyond.

Lovely day in Shanghai with local guide Rachel - We had a lovely tailor made full day tour with Rachel! She took good care of our family of five, including my two elderly parents, as we walked through the old alleyways of Shanghai. The tour was easygoing enough for all our needs, and included plenty of food and drink and shopping breaks! Great for family experiences!

Memorable Shanghai tour with Rachel - Rachel is amazing. She was our guide in Shanghai and we had a wonderful day tracing the history of Shanghai from its origin to its present day. We visited historically significant buildings, strolled along charming residential estates and visited a local market. The tour was well paced and we even had a wonderful coffee break in a trendy neighborhood. Rachel grew up in Shanghai and witnessed its transformation. She was more than happy to share her growing up experiences with us from the local life to the delicious food. The beautiful spring flowers accompanied us on this tour and we are truly grateful to have Rachel as our guide in Shanghai. Thank you Rachel!

Perfect day tour in Shanghai with Guide Yi from Eastbound and Beyond 💯 - I had my friends visiting me and wanted to show them around Shanghai. Even though I have been living in Shanghai, I still feel like I don't know this city very well. Luckily, we had the pleasure of following Guide Yi from Eastbound and Beyond. We learned so much about the city, its architecture and history, but in a light and relaxed way. We also had a few requests, such as the search for a very specific souvenir, and he was more than happy to help us track it down He was very accommodating and flexible with the schedule, taking a break whenever we needed one. ⚘️⚘️ It was an excellent day.
