People’s Square - The tour guide will meet the group at the airport exit at 08:30 a.m. or upon arrival. From there, the group will be transferred to People’s Square. Located at the heart of Shanghai, People’s Square marks the division between East Nanjing Road and West Nanjing Road. It is a vibrant area for exploration. Before 1949, this area, including People’s Park, was a renowned horse racetrack established in 1861, known as the ‘No.1 Racetrack in the Far East’. Visitors can still see the remnants of the main building in the northeast part of People’s Square. The tour will include many attractions around People’s Square, such as the new Municipal Government Mansion, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai History Museum, and the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. The group will then visit the Shanghai Museum.

Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan) - Situated in the center of Shanghai at People’s Square, the Shanghai Museum is a significant museum of ancient Chinese art. Its design and exhibits immerse visitors in the ancient wisdom and philosophy. The museum’s round dome and square base symbolize the ancient concept of a round heaven and a square earth. Huangpu River - The Huangpu River separates two iconic yet distinct Shanghai landscapes: the modern skyscrapers of Pudong and the diverse architectural styles on the west side. The group will enjoy a one-hour cruise along the Huangpu River, taking in the stunning views of the Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, and Jin Mao Tower.
Afterwards, the group will head to Yunnan Road, known for its delightful eateries, perfect for a quick meal. Lunch will be enjoyed nearby before proceeding to the next destination.

Xintiandi - Xintiandi is a tourist spot that retains Shanghai’s historical and cultural essence while blending Chinese and Western cultures. It is divided into northern and southern sections, with the south featuring modern architecture and the north showcasing Shikumen old buildings. This area, combining Shikumen and modern styles, has become a trendy pedestrian street in the city center, representing the leisurely lifestyle of Shanghai’s new generation. Outdoor cafes, bars, and romantic restaurants are abundant.

Shikumen Museum, Shanghai - This museum is a preserved and renovated Shikumen house from the 1920s. It is modeled after a typical household from that era, featuring seven main exhibition rooms: the guest room, study room, old people’s room, master room, daughter room, pavilion room, and oven room. Exploring the old alleys offers insight into Shanghai’s traditional culture and the daily life of its residents. Visitors can walk to the Zigzag Nine Bend Bridge, believed to bring good luck, leading to the Mid-Lake Pavilion Teahouse, the oldest in Shanghai.

Shanghai Tower - As Shanghai’s new landmark, the Shanghai Tower stands as the tallest building in the city at 632 meters. The 118th floor houses the world’s highest indoor observation deck, known as the ‘Top of Shanghai Observatory’. Visitors are encouraged to explore the exhibition hall on floor B1 before taking the express elevator to the 118th floor in just 55 seconds, traveling at 18 meters per second. From here, a panoramic view of Shanghai can be enjoyed. The 119th floor offers a chance to admire the scenery along the Huangpu River, and on clear days, a spectacular sunset can be seen.
