Additionally, the group can enjoy views of the skyscrapers across the Huangpu River.

-
Heping Fandian - Also known as the Peace Hotel, Heping Fandian consists of the South Building and North Building.
South Building
This building features a brick veneer structure, with six stories reaching a height of 30 meters. Its exterior is designed in a Renaissance style. The architects emphasized color and completed the building in a locally interpreted Victorian Renaissance design.
North Building
Formerly known as Sassoon House, this building was constructed in 1929 and stands at a total height of 77 meters. It prominently features straight lines on the exterior, with decorative patterns on pediments and eaves. Most of the building is faced with granite, while the ninth floor and roof are surfaced with terracotta. The eastern façade, facing the Huangpu River and the Bund, boasts a pyramidal roof with steep sides and a height of about 10 meters.
Next, the group will proceed to People’s Square to visit the Shanghai Museum and explore the rich history and culture of Shanghai.
- People’s Square - Located at the heart of Shanghai, People’s Square serves as the dividing point between East Nanjing Road and West Nanjing Road. It is a bustling area for exploration. Before 1949, the area of People’s Square and People’s Park was a renowned horse racetrack, built in 1861 and known as the ‘No.1 Racetrack in the Far East’. Visitors can still find remnants of the former main building in the northeast part of People’s Square. The tour will include many scenic spots around People’s Square, such as the new Municipal Government Mansion, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai History Museum, and the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall.
- Shanghai Grand Theater - The group will admire the facade of the Shanghai Grand Theater. This theater is uniquely designed and beautifully shaped, blending Western and Chinese architectural styles seamlessly. The white arched vault complements the glass curtain walls, resembling a crystal palace.
- Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan) - Situated in the center of Shanghai at People’s Square, the Shanghai Museum is a large museum dedicated to ancient Chinese art. Its style and presentation immerse visitors in artifacts that reflect ancient wisdom and philosophy. The exterior design, featuring a round dome and square base, symbolizes the ancient concept of a round heaven and a square earth. The museum is divided into eleven galleries and three exhibition halls, covering major categories of Chinese art: Ancient Bronze, Ancient Ceramics, Paintings, Calligraphy, Ancient Sculpture, Ancient Jade, Coins, Ming and Qing Furniture, Seals, and Minority Nationalities.
Following this, the group will stroll along Yuyuan Old Street to experience the authentic Shanghai lifestyle and visit a classical garden.
- Yuyuan Old Street - Historically known as Miaoqian Dajie, Shanghai Old Street is a historic business street that combines tourist attractions, shops, entertainment, and cultural exhibits. Its unique social appeal and rich commercial background stem from being home to the city’s earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler’s store, wine shop, and tea house. Exploring the old alleys of Shanghai offers a wonderful opportunity to discover the city’s traditional culture and experience the genuine life of the Shanghainese. Based on preferences, the guide will recommend dining options at Yuyuan Old Street, ranging from small local eateries to elegant cuisine restaurants.
- Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - The tour will continue with a visit to Yu Garden, initially constructed in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty by Pan Yunduan as a comfort for his father, Minister Pan En, in his old age. Pan Yunduan began the project after not passing an imperial exam, but his appointment as governor of Sichuan delayed construction for nearly twenty years until 1577. Yu Garden, though small, encompasses all elements of a classical Chinese garden, including pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds, and cloisters, each with distinct characteristics. The garden is divided into six areas, each with its own style.
The group will then transfer to Pudong to explore Shanghai’s financial district and visit the Shanghai Tower.
- Pudong New Area - As a vibrant and modern district, Pudong offers visitors a range of contemporary attractions, businesses, skyscrapers, and shopping malls, all showcasing the latest in entertainment, technology, and fashion. The group will walk along the Lujiazui Ring Bridge, an excellent spot for photographing skyscrapers.
- Shanghai Tower - As a new landmark of Shanghai, the Shanghai Tower is the tallest building in the city, standing at a total height of 632 meters. The 118th floor features an indoor observation deck, the world’s highest indoor observation deck, known as the ‘Top of Shanghai Observatory’. Visitors are encouraged to explore the exhibition hall on floor B1 first, then take the express elevator to the 118th floor in just 55 seconds, with a speed of 18 meters per second. From here, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Shanghai. There will be time to pause and appreciate the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River from the 119th floor.
Shanghai is recognized as one of the art capitals of Asia, if not the world. The tour will conclude with visits to three representative art galleries: Shanghai Propaganda Poster Art Centre, M50 Creative Park, and 1933 Old Millfun.
- Shanghai Propaganda Poster Art Centre - This private museum is dedicated to collecting and displaying posters, with over 6,000 original propaganda posters from the 1940s to the 1990s. It covers the era of Chairman Mao and illustrates the political movements of the New China era. The museum was founded by Mr. Yang Pei Ming, who began collecting posters as a hobby in 1995.
- M50 Creative Park - Located in the distinctive industrial buildings of a former textile mill, M50 Creative Park houses a significant collection of contemporary art galleries, cafes, and craft shops. The gallery lineup changes frequently, with some tucked away upstairs alongside other creative businesses, making it an exciting place to explore. Notable galleries include ShangART, with two venues, Chronos Art Centre, specializing in new media, and A+ and Antenna Space, which have created large and visually appealing exhibition environments while preserving the character of the buildings.
- 1933 Old Millfun - Originally a slaughterhouse built in 1933 at the intersection of Hongkou Port and Shajing Port, 1933 Old Millfun, or 1933 Laochangfang in Chinese, has been transformed into a hub of creative art precincts and is now a center for Shanghai’s fashion, design, shopping, and entertainment. Visitors can admire features such as Lattice Windows, Umbrella Columns, Covered Bridges, Central Atrium, and Sky Theater.
After completing all the activities outlined in the itinerary, the group will return to the hotel, marking the end of the service.
