Shanghai French Concession tour - 3 hour tour which flew by. Celina was informative, humorous and timed the pace very well. Most enjoyable!

Fantastic experience and learnt so much - Big thanks to Celina for creating such a memorable experience. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and created a wonderful atmosphere that brought the group of strangers together. As well as exploring the French quarter we had time to stop in an amazing local coffee shop which was in itself a highlight. In addition to what we learnt on the tour, Celina was also able to provide so much practical advice on how to make the most of our trip to Shanghai. I’d recommend this tour as a great way to start your time in Shanghai.

Tour of Beautiful French Concession - Great walking tour of the beautiful French Concession. Good amount of relevant history, beautiful architecture, and personal stories about growing up in Shanghai. Dinna was a great tour guide.

A great morning for the French conception - We spent a great morning with Celina by the French Concession, a super nice walk, with lots of information about the area and visiting many relevant points of the place. Celina super close, friendly and available. Highly recommended.

Fun and interesting tour of the former French concession - Very informative and interesting tour with lots of history thrown in. The area we walked through was beautiful. You pay what you think the tour was worth at the end. Highly recommend!

Very nice and interesting walk. Highly recommend to get to know Shanghai better on foot. Would never have found those places on - Very very nice tour, receommend to all first timers in Shanghai. Very informative and historical wuth fun information.

Awesome - I went on a french concession tour with my brother, hosted by Free Tours China's Dina.
Originally when planning out our activities for Shanghai, we planned to just pass by the french concession and not really spend a lot of time there, but I'm glad we went on the tour. Dina kept our group engaged the whole time with interesting facts about the concession as well as a bunch of chinese culture we were not aware of, such as the symbolism of certain numbers, and how to count to 10 on one hand.
10/10, would recommend to anyone I know visiting Shanghai.

Nice insight - It was a nice introduction to the history of the French concession neighbourhood..However the walk could have been conducted in a slower leisurely pace instead of some of us who are of mature age having to struggled to keep up with the guide. There was only one rest room break offered at the beginning.

Do the other free walking tour - The tour itself was okay. We did the other tour first, and loved it! So the next day booked this one thinking it would be just as good.
Although the tour was good at parts, you felt like the tour guide was racing to get everything done and walking really fast. The tour was more around general China and Shanghai rather than specifically on the French Concession region, which is what we were interested in. There are some pretty parts and interesting bits, but I’d say do the other tour instead.
Also if you book directly with them, it is free instead of paying via trip advisor.
