Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - Next, enjoy a leisurely stroll in the picturesque Yu Garden. Situated in the old town, Yuyuan Garden is the city’s most famous ancient site, known for its clever layout and exquisite architecture. The garden’s treasure, Yu Ling Long (a beautiful jade stone), an artificial hill, is one of the three most renowned peaks in Southern China.
Yuyuan Old Street - Then, visit the Yuyuan Bazaar, also known as Yuyuan Market, located outside Yu Garden, in the heart of Old Shanghai City, and near the Old City God Temple. The area features many traditional Chinese buildings now serving as commercial stores selling local products, snacks, jewelry, souvenirs, antiques, and more.

Shanghai - Chengdu by flight. O/N Chengdu.
Shanghai - The guide will meet you in your hotel lobby around 09:00 AM. You will be taken to the famous Zhujiajiao water town, approximately a 60-minute drive away.
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town - The Zhujiajiao water town is renowned nationwide, with a history spanning over 1,700 years. Covering an area of 47 square kilometers (11,614 acres), this fan-shaped town, often called Shanghai’s Venice, shines like a bright pearl amidst lakes and mountains. Three notable sites in the water town are worth visiting: Kezhi Garden, Qing Dynasty Post Office, and Fangsheng Bridge. Your tour guide will accompany you to these locations.
Jade Buddha Temple - After lunch, you will visit the Jade Buddha Temple. Built in 1882 to house two white jade Buddha statues from Burma, the Jade Buddha Temple is a renowned Buddhist shrine and an active Zen monastery. The temple plays a significant role in spreading Buddhism through cultural means, including lectures, library services, Buddhist academic publications, and regular cultural activities.
Tianzifang - Later, the tour concludes at Tianzifang, an old-style cultural block featuring distinctive Shikumen buildings with art studios, themed cafés and bars, and handicraft workshops.

Chengdu. O/N Chengdu.
Chengdu - In the morning, your driver and guide will meet you at 8:00 AM at your Chengdu hotel and transfer you to the Chengdu Panda Base, a 30-minute drive, 15 km away.
Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - First, visit Chengdu’s Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, home to over 80 of China’s iconic pandas. Most are the familiar black and white variety, but the Base also houses several smaller, lesser-known red pandas.
You’ll observe the animals eating and playing in a carefully maintained habitat that closely resembles their natural environment. You’ll also learn about scientists’ and ecologists’ efforts to protect the few remaining wild pandas and expand the captive population. Notably, over 100 bears have been born at the Base since 1987.
The Base gained even more importance after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, with eight bears relocated here from the severely damaged Wolong reserve. Your visit provides both moral and financial support for ongoing conservation efforts.
Chengdu Renmin Park - Next, visit Renmin Park, a comprehensive garden for cultural heritage collection and entertainment. Locals in Chengdu often relax by drinking tea here. You won’t truly understand the “Capital of Leisure” lifestyle until you visit Renmin Park. Crowds gather in the park’s shade from sunrise. The best activities include visiting a teahouse, ordering a cup of tea, reading for an entire afternoon, thinking about nothing, or chatting with old friends. Enjoying Chengdu’s slow life, you may suddenly realize you’re leading a happy life.
Jinli Pedestrian Street - After lunch, take a private car to Jinli Old Street, an impressive journey to the famous old street. Time slips away quietly as you walk along lively streets filled with delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, interesting folk shows, and more.
Chengdu - At the end, your guide will escort you to your hotel.
Chengdu - Leshan Buddha - Mount Emei. O/N Emei
Chengdu - After breakfast at your hotel, your driver and guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at 09:00 AM and transfer you to Leshan, a 2.5-hour drive, 150 km away.
Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo) - Dating back to the 8th century, the Giant Buddha of Leshan is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. It was carved from the cliffs of Lingyun Shan to calm the turbulent waters of the three rivers flowing beneath its gaze. Stairs carved into the cliff connect the area at the Buddha’s feet with the land above, allowing you to view this astonishing sight from various vantage points. The views are stunning over elbows and knees, taking in the river scene and Leshan’s skyline.
Upon arrival in Leshan, you can have lunch at a restaurant with a view of the Giant Buddha. You’ll then explore the Giant Buddha and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from atop the Buddha’s head.
We then visit Lingyun Temple and Museum to gain deeper insight into the history of this remarkable Buddhist site and learn the story behind the Giant Buddha’s carving.
Baoguo Temple - Next, visit Bao Guo Temple, the largest temple on Emei Mountain, serving as the mountain’s gateway and the center of Buddhist activity. The temple faces Phoenix Lake and backs onto Phoenix Plains; it welcomes the sunrise each morning and is the last place to see the sunset at dusk.
The temple was constructed on the right side of Crouching Tiger Temple during the Ming Dynasty and was originally named Hui Zong Hall, intending to gather Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. In the early Qing Dynasty, Hui Zong Hall was relocated and rebuilt. In 1703, the name was changed to “Bao Guo,” meaning “serve the nation.”
Emeishan - After completing the Baoguo Temple tour, your guide will escort you to your hotel at the foot of Emei Mountain or Emei city center.
Emei Mountain - Chengdu. The tour ends.
Mount Emei (Emeishan) - In the morning, your tour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby at 08:00 AM and head to the Emei Mountain ticket office. Today is a full day of visiting Emeishan. First, take a sightseeing bus to the upper station, a 2-hour drive. Due to the mountain’s zigzag road, try to sit at the front of the bus and drink less water in the morning.
Mount Emei (Emeishan) is renowned as a World Heritage Site for both culture and nature and is one of China’s Four Great Buddhist Mountains. It is home to 5,000 plant species (more than all of Europe) and over 2,300 wild animal species. It is an ideal place for hiking, exploring Buddhist culture, photography, winter holidays, summer retreats, and is suitable for visiting year-round.
E’meishan Jinding Scenic Resort - After the cable car ride, a few minutes’ walk will lead you to the Golden Summit, where you can spend 40-60 minutes. The experience on the Golden Summit is fabulous – a sparkling golden Buddha statue, grandiose temples, an endless sea of clouds, fresh air, and more.
Mount Emei (Emeishan) - Next, take the cable car and shuttle bus back to the mountain’s base (the same way you ascended). If you wish to see more, you can stop at Wannian Temple and hike for a while, discussing options with your guide. Upon reaching the ticket office, you will have lunch before transferring back to Chengdu.
Chengdu - After lunch, your guide will escort you to your hotel in Chengdu or the airport/train station. This marks the end of the tour services.
