Shanghai - The guide will meet guests in the hotel lobby around 09:00 AM. They will be taken to the renowned Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, approximately a 20-minute drive away.

Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall - At the Exhibition Hall, visitors can explore various textual and graphic files and architectural models, providing a comprehensive understanding of Shanghai’s development.

The Exhibition Hall highlights Shanghai’s urbanization and modernization. By viewing city miniatures and extensive city planning materials, visitors gain insights into Shanghai’s past and present. High-tech methods are used to project Shanghai’s blueprint through 2020.

Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely stroll in the picturesque Yu Garden. Located in the old town, Yuyuan Garden is the city’s most famous ancient site, known for its clever layout and exquisite architecture. The garden’s treasure, Yu Ling Long (a beautiful jade stone), is an artificial hill and one of the three most famous peaks in Southern China.

Yuyuan Old Street - Next, visit Yuyuan Bazaar, also known as Yuyuan Market, situated outside Yu Garden in the heart of Old Shanghai City, near the Old City God Temple. The area features many traditional Chinese buildings now serving as commercial stores selling local products, snacks, jewelry, souvenirs, antiques, and more.

Shanghai World Financial Center - Afterwards, visit the Shanghai World Financial Center and ascend to the 100th floor for panoramic city views. It is the world’s 8th tallest building and the 4th tallest in Mainland China. The 100th floor features a 55-meter-long viewing gallery, the second highest observation deck in China, surpassing the Canadian TV Tower (447 meters) and the Dubai Tower (440 meters).

The Bund (Wai Tan) - Following this, visit the Bund area, a quintessential part of Shanghai. Located on the Huangpu River bank, visitors come for the charming riverside scenery and the unique Western and Gothic architecture. Free time will be provided to explore the Bund and take photos.

Shanghai - Finally, guests will be driven back to their hotel, or they may enjoy free time at nearby Nanjing Road.

Shanghai - The guide will meet guests in the hotel lobby around 09:00 AM. They will be taken to the famous Zhujiajiao water town, approximately a 60-minute drive away.

Zhujiajiao Ancient Town - Zhujiajiao water town is renowned nationwide, with a history spanning over 1,700 years. Covering 47 square kilometers (11,614 acres), this fan-shaped town, often called Shanghai’s Venice, shines like a pearl amidst lakes and mountains. Visitors will explore Kezhi Garden, Qing Dynasty Post Office, and Fangsheng Bridge with their tour guide.

Jade Buddha Temple - After lunch, guests will visit the Jade Buddha Temple. Built in 1882 for two white jade Buddha statues from Burma, the temple is a famous Buddhist shrine and active Zen monastery. It plays a significant role in spreading Buddhism through cultural activities, including lectures, library services, academic publications, and regular cultural events.

Tianzifang - Later, the tour concludes at Tianzifang, a cultural block featuring distinctive Shikumen buildings with art studios, themed cafés and bars, and handicraft workshops.

Shanghai Pudong International Airport - After the tour, guests will be driven to Pudong International Airport for a flight to Zhangjiajie (MU9341 20:05-22:35). The flight duration is approximately 2.5 hours.

Airport Road - Upon arrival in Zhangjiajie, guests will be promptly picked up and transferred to their hotel (driver only, no guide).

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - On this full-day tour, the guide will meet guests at 9:00 AM in the hotel lobby in Zhangjiajie city center or Wulingyuan hotel. Visitors will explore various mountain areas, including Tianzi Mountain, where the world’s longest cable car ride takes them to the peak, and the unique platform-shaped Yuanjiajie Mountain.

With stunning mountain ranges, deep valleys, mysterious caves, lush vegetation, cascading waterfalls, and mist-shrouded stone pillars, Hunan’s Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is a natural wonderland.

The park is home to over 500 species of wildlife and vegetation, including rare monkeys, gingko trees, and thousands of colorful birds. Its most notable features are the towering sandstone pillars. Fans of Hollywood blockbusters will recognize the landscape as the inspiration for Pandora in James Cameron’s movie Avatar.

Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area of Zhangjiajie - The Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area boasts natural beauty with mountains, valleys, forests, caves, lakes, and waterfalls in harmony. Over 560 attractions can be found here. The uniquely-shaped peaks, peculiar stones, hidden valleys, wonderful waters, and limestone caves form the ‘Five Wonders’ of Wulingyuan, truly worth seeing.

Covering 690 square kilometers (266 square miles), Wulingyuan Scenic Area consists of four parts: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, and the newly added Yangjiajie Scenic Area.

Today’s tour will visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve.

Tianzi Mountain - After purchasing the main park entrance tickets, guests will take a shuttle bus (20 minutes) to the Tianzi Mountain cable station and walk up 200 steps to reach the station.

Tianzi Mountain Clouds - After a 20-minute cable car ride, guests will reach the top of Tianzi Mountain and take another shuttle bus (5 minutes) to the Tianzi Mountain central area, offering stunning views of peaks rising one after another. Known as ‘the Monarch of the Peak Forest,’ visitors can see the full extent of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. The mountain offers beautiful scenes in different seasons, with four wonders: the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, Rays of Sunshine, and Snow in winter.

BaiLong Elevator - After visiting Yuanjiajie (Avatar Mountain), guests will take a shuttle (15 minutes) to the Bailong Elevator. The Bailong Elevator is magnificent, with a total height of 335 meters (1,099 feet), of which 326 meters (1,069 feet) is the running height. 154 meters (505 feet) of the total height is in the mountain wells, and the remaining 172 meters (564 feet) consists of steel derrick and other components. The elevator includes three parallel sightseeing elevators, each accommodating 50 passengers, with a speed of 3 m/s (accelerated to 5 m/s since 2013). If all three elevators run simultaneously, they can transport 4,000 passengers per hour.

Golden Whip Brook - Guests will hike for about an hour along the Golden Whip Stream, then take a shuttle out of the park and return to the hotel. Golden Whip Stream (Jinbian Stream) is renowned for its pristine water, verdant mountains, steep cliffs, and serene valley. As a “paradise” for plants, its pathways are adorned with an abundance of flowers, trees, and grasses. It is also a kingdom of animals. Golden Whip Stream is named after Golden Whip Crag, its landmark spot, and runs from Laomo Bay to Shui Rao Si Men (water-surrounded gates).

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge - After lunch, guests will transfer to the Glass Bridge. The local expert guide will lead an adventure trip in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, famous among explorers and nature lovers worldwide, featuring typical Zhangjiajie landforms, breathtaking cliffs, lush forests, ancient caves, colorful ponds, and a river running through the canyon. Walk on the world’s longest and highest Glass Bridge in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Hanging over a valley, the glass bridge offers a superb panorama of the entire grand canyon. Enjoy a scenic walk with waterfalls and wonderful views on each side. Standing on it feels like floating in the air.

Zhangjiajie - At the end, the guide will escort guests to their hotel in Zhangjiajie or Wulingyuan.

Zhangjiajie - Fenghuang. O/N Fenghuang.

Zhangjiajie - At 9:00 AM, the tour guide will meet guests in the hotel lobby and transfer them to Zhangjiajie Tianmen Park.

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - Guests will spend 3-4 hours at Tianmen Mountain Park. They will use the cable car or shuttle bus to ascend the hill, depending on traffic. Tianmen Mountain, known as the “New Legend Of Zhangjiajie,” is the highest point (1,500m) in Zhangjiajie, where visitors can walk on thrilling cliff-paths and glass walkways, enjoying bird’s-eye views of the city and beautiful countryside. The landscape is distinct yet on par with the ZJJ National Park, both offering world-class scenery. It’s a must-visit highlight of the city. Remarkably, this single mountain holds 4 World Guinness Records, each overwhelmingly impressive. An amazing experience awaits.

Fenghuang County - After lunch, the guide will escort guests to Fenghuang, a 3-hour drive covering 220km. Fenghuang (Phoenix) Town, built in 1704, is recognized as a famous national cultural and historical city. Its blue flagstone streets, stilted houses, and Miao nationality customs contribute to its unique charm. For the rest of the day, guests can freely explore the ancient town.

Fenghuang - Sanjiang. O/N Chengyang village.

Phoenix Ancient Town - Guests will have a full exploration of Fenghuang Ancient Town. After breakfast, they will take a boat along the Tuojiang River, the town’s mother river. The clean river flows slowly along the city walls, with water plants swaying in gentle waves. Occasionally, mist rises from the quiet green water, creating a fairyland atmosphere. Guests will then visit Wanming Pagoda on the river’s north bank. The hexagonal pagoda, about 21 meters (69 feet) high, has seven layers. Copper wind bells hang at each corner of the eaves, and the pagoda’s body is adorned with colored paintings and sculptures.

After enjoying the elegant pagoda, guests will cruise to the Rainbow Bridge. From the second floor’s windows, they can view green hills, blue water, city walls, red slates, and stilted houses. Several boats quietly move through the river.

Chengyang Bridge Scenic Resort - After lunch, guests will drive to Sanjiang Chengyang Dong village (4-hour drive, 315km) and tour the village. In the village, they will see the landmark constructions of Dong village, the Wind and Rain Bridge, and the Drum Tower. Constructed with wood and bricks, the Wind and Rain Bridge blends the styles of bridge, corridor, and kiosk, reflecting the unique Dong style and the wisdom of the Dong people. Initially built to provide shelter for field workers, it later became a dating spot for young people and a famous attraction for visitors worldwide. The lofty pointed tower with upturned eaves signifies arrival in a Dong Village. The Drum Tower, always located in the village center, serves as the political and cultural hub. When the village chief beats the drum on the top floor, villagers stop their work and gather around the Drum Tower.

Chengyang - Longji - Guilin. O/N Guilin.

Chengyang Bridge Scenic Resort - The guide will meet guests in the hotel lobby around 08:00 AM. They will be taken to the renowned Longji terraces, approximately a 90-minute drive covering 100km.

Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - The Longji Rice Terraces stretch layer upon layer from the mountain base to its summit. From the 13th century during the Yuan Dynasty, the local Zhuang people began constructing and using these amazing terraces. Now, the Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces cover 66 square kilometers (about 16,308 acres) and span an altitude between 300 meters (about 984 feet) and 1,100 meters (about 3,608 feet). Standing on the mountain, visitors are awed by the fields’ patches and curve lines around the mountains. They will then visit the Villages of Zhuang to experience unique Chinese ethnic culture.

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - Next, guests will travel to Guilin and visit the Reed Flute Cave, featuring numerous stalactites and stalagmites, forming a luminous underground palace with colorful lights on the cave ceiling.

Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan) - The Guilin tour continues to Elephant Trunk Hill, a landmark of Guilin. The hill resembles an elephant stretching its trunk into the water to drink, showcasing nature’s incredible creativity.

Guilin - At the end, the guide will escort guests to their hotel, allowing free time.

Guilin - Yangshuo. The tour ends.

Guilin - In the morning, the guide and driver will pick up guests from the hotel around 07:45 AM and escort them to the Zhujiang pier, where they will start the Guilin Li River cruise to Yangshuo (4-star boat with buffet lunch).

Li River - Boarding is scheduled for 9:20 AM, and the journey takes about 4 hours. With the guide’s company and interpretation, guests can immerse themselves in the stunning karst landscape of rolling hills, verdant forests, odd caves, and tranquil villages along the Li River. A buffet Chinese lunch will be served on board before reaching Yangshuo at 2:00 PM.

Xianggong Mountain - After disembarkation, guests will be driven to see Yangshuo Xianggong Hill. They will climb for 15 minutes along a moderately sloped staircase to reach the top of Xianggong Hill. Guests should inform the guide in advance if they need a walking stick. Situated between the famous Yellow Cloth Shoal and Mural Hill, Xianggong Hill is one of the best viewing platforms in Guilin to appreciate the Li River’s beauty. The breathtaking view of the meandering Li River making a 180-degree bend attracts countless visitors and photographers annually.

Guilin - At the end, the guide will escort guests to their hotel in Guilin or Yangshuo or to Guilin airport/train station. This concludes the 7-day tour services.
