Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall - At this venue, visitors can explore various textual and graphic files and architectural models, providing a comprehensive understanding of Shanghai’s development. The exhibition highlights the city’s urbanization and modernization, offering insights into its past and present through city miniatures and extensive planning materials. High-tech methods are used to project Shanghai’s future blueprint through 2020.

Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - Next, enjoy a leisurely stroll in the picturesque Yu Garden. Situated in the old town, Yuyuan Garden is celebrated for its clever layout and intricate architecture. The garden’s treasure, Yu Ling Long (a beautiful jade stone), and an artificial hill are among the three most famous peaks in Southern China.

Yuyuan Old Street - Following this, visit the Yuyuan Bazaar, also known as Yuyuan Market, located outside Yu Garden in the heart of Old Shanghai City, near the Old City God Temple. The area features many traditional Chinese buildings now serving as commercial stores selling local products, snacks, jewelry, souvenirs, antiques, and more.

Shanghai World Financial Center - Afterwards, head to the Shanghai World Financial Center and ascend to the 100th floor for panoramic city views. It ranks as the world’s 8th tallest building and the 4th tallest in Mainland China. The 100th floor features a 55-meter-long viewing gallery, the second highest observation deck in China, surpassing the Canadian TV Tower (447 meters) and the Dubai Tower (440 meters).

The Bund (Wai Tan) - Then, visit the Bund area, a quintessential part of Shanghai. Located along the Huangpu River, visitors come for the captivating riverside scenery and the unique Western and Gothic architecture. Free time will be provided to explore the Bund and capture photos.

Shanghai - Finally, guests will be driven back to their hotel, or they may choose to enjoy their own time at nearby Nanjing Road.

Shanghai - The guide will meet guests in the hotel lobby around 09:00 AM. They will be taken to the famous Zhujiajiao water town, a 60-minute drive away.

Zhujiajiao Ancient Town - Known nationwide, Zhujiajiao water town boasts a history of over 1,700 years. Spanning 47 square kilometers (11,614 acres), this fan-shaped town, often called Shanghai’s Venice, shines like a pearl amidst lakes and mountains. Visitors will explore Kezhi Garden, Qing Dynasty Post Office, and Fangsheng Bridge, accompanied by their tour guide.

Jade Buddha Temple - After lunch, guests will visit the Jade Buddha Temple. Established in 1882 for two white jade Buddha statues from Burma, this temple is a renowned Buddhist shrine and active Zen monastery. It plays a significant role in promoting Buddhism through cultural activities, including lectures, library services, academic publications, and regular cultural events.

Tianzifang - The tour concludes at Tianzifang, a cultural block featuring distinctive Shikumen buildings with art studios, themed cafés and bars, and handicraft workshops.

Shanghai - At the end, the guide will escort guests back to their hotel.

Pudong International Airport - This morning, there are no scheduled activities. Guests will fly to Yichang to catch the Yangtze River cruise boat, with the option to book flight MU2676 from 15:05 to 17:10.

Chongqing Chaotianmen - The cruise is set to arrive in Chongqing between 07:30 and 08:00, marking the end of the ship journey. The guide will meet guests on board and transfer them to Chongqing Wulong Karst, a 3-hour drive.

Wulong Karst Geological Park - Wulong, known for its unique karst landforms, features stunning stone bridges, caves, pits, eroded sinkholes, and gorges. It gained international fame from Michael Bay’s film “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” showcasing the majestic Three Natural Bridges. Other natural attractions include Furong Cave, Longshuixia Gap, and Fairy Mountain.

Wulong Tiankeng Three Bridges - After a satisfying lunch at a local restaurant, the Chongqing Wulong karst tour begins with the Three Natural Bridges, a key feature of this world heritage site. These magnificent stone arch bridges are unparalleled worldwide. Within the serene area, visitors can appreciate the rugged beauty of the mountain bridges and gorges by walking along the narrow valley path.

During the 2 to 2.5-hour visit, guests will also stop by an ancient staging post near Qinglong Bridge, built during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) for official business and guest reception. The wooden courtyards remain well-preserved, with over 20 rooms intact.

After some free time to explore, the Wulong trip from Chongqing concludes. Guests will be transferred back to their hotel, arriving around 18:30.

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport - In the morning at 8:00 AM, the guide will meet guests in the hotel lobby and drive them to Chongqing airport for a flight to Xi’an, with the option to book flight MU2262 from 10:35 to 12:05.

Beijing Daxing International Airport - Upon arrival in Beijing, guests will be promptly picked up and transferred to their hotel (Driver only, no guide).

Beijing - Today, the tour guide will meet guests in the Beijing hotel lobby at 8:00 AM. They will first visit Tiananmen Square.

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - At Tiananmen Square, guests can capture stunning photos of the Tiananmen Tower, Monument to People’s Heroes, and Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao. Located in central Beijing, the square has witnessed numerous historical events and gatherings over the centuries. It now hosts grand celebrations, military parades, and welcoming ceremonies for foreign leaders. Visitors can admire the towering Monument to People’s Heroes and the solemn Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao. Traditional structures like Tiananmen Tower, Zhengyang Gate, and Qianmen Arrow Tower are also present.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Next, guests will cross Tiananmen Tower to visit the Forbidden City, where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368 - 1911) resided and managed national affairs. As the imperial palace during these dynasties, the Forbidden City is the largest and best-preserved ancient wooden complex globally. It is divided into the Inner Court and Outer Court by the Palace of Heavenly Purity, with the outer section for official matters and the inner section as the imperial family’s residence. The complex also serves as a vast museum, showcasing over one million national treasures.

Mutianyu Great Wall - Upon reaching the scenic area’s parking lot, guests will take an electric car to the entry and then a chairlift to the 14th watchtower. They will enjoy a leisurely 2-hour hike on the wall, concluding with a toboggan ride down. Built and restored in the early Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), the Great Wall at Mutianyu is one of the most renowned sections. It is celebrated for its unique features, earning the reputation “Out of all the Great Walls, Mutianyu stands apart.” Guests can explore the ancient structure and learn about its history and significance. The professional guide will answer questions and share exclusive stories and facts about the Mutianyu Great Wall.

Beijing - At the end, guests will be escorted back to their Beijing hotel.

Beijing - In the morning, the guide and driver will pick up guests from their hotel to continue the Beijing tour.

Temple of Heaven - The first stop is the Temple of Heaven, the largest royal ceremonial building complex in China. Historically, emperors conducted annual sacrificial ceremonies here to worship heaven and pray for a good harvest. Today, it is a large park where visitors can observe locals engaging in exercises and recreational activities.

Back Lakes (Hou Hai) - Next, the tour continues to Beijing Hutong, where guests will take a rickshaw ride through the old alleys and visit a Hutong family to experience traditional Beijing life. The area is home to popular restaurants, cafes, and local food stores, offering a chance to sample local cuisine. The guide will provide recommendations. After lunch, guests can stroll around Houhai Lake and further explore the Hutong area.

Lama Temple (Yonghegong) - After visiting the Hutong, guests will be driven to the Lama Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in Beijing. Open to tourists since 1981, the temple attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually for prayer and sightseeing.

Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - A 30-minute drive will take guests to the Summer Palace, known as the museum of ancient royal gardens. The expert guide will lead the tour. The garden primarily consists of Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. The Long Corridor, 728 meters (796.2 yards) long, is the longest corridor in Chinese gardens.
