Carlos is the best Tour guide in town - We did not plan to join the tour of Alcazar but glad surely that we did! If you are planning to visit Alcazar I highly suggest to use tour guide to enjoy more of the visit, understand every story behind the building, the painting, the architecture, everything. And Carlos is definitely the guide you need. He is historian so he knows and tells more than just a some giving you some general information, like how Alcazar is connected to the making of the dollar, or how King Peter used to have the best advisors including the founder of Algebra, or who are the men standing next to Columbus in the painting in the Chapel. Other guides will only give you general information about the building, Carlos will bring you back in time of the golden era of Alcazar. And to add bonus, you dont need to stand in long queu to enter Alcazar, so go find Carlos when you in Seville 😊

Marnie - Carlos was excellent! He is an incredibly knowledgeable guide. We were in line without tickets and prepared to wait an hour. Carlos, in a completely non-pressuring manner, explained what he could offer us: 15 euros each (for seniors), which included tickets for the tour (he handled our passports as proof of our age for discount tickets), and ear phones so we could hear every word of the tour. We were in a small group. The experience was a highlight of our visit to Seville.

Best tour so far of our trip to Spain - Take this 1 1/2 hour tour! It was very reasonably priced, fun, and Carlos was our best guide so far. We'd take any tour with him. His English is excellent and his accent easy to understand. His knowledge of the Alcázar and Spanish history is terrific, and he is an all-round nice guy who made this a very memorable trip for us. Thank you, Carlos.

Life Saver for the unprepared - We had a super great idea to go to the Alcazar a half hour before it opened in hopes of a short line since we're unprepared to buy a ticket before our trip, turns out not that smart, the line was still insane. Carlos walked thru the line asking if there were any English speaking that wanted to join his tour and skip the line (which would've been around 3 hours where we stood) so we jumped on the chance to skip the line. He was very knowledgeable about all the history of the Alcazar and he also was hilarious, guided tours can be so boring and tiring but his enthusiasm and humor made it fun. Definitely recommend, but don't be us, if you plan on a trip out here, get a ticket ahead of time. The line is insane.

Really enjoyable tour and knowledgeable guide - Carlos was funny and knowledgeable, he bought the history of the Alcázar to life. The tour was just the right length and covered all the highlights plus some other very interesting facts which I expect would have been otherwise overlooked. He was also able to answer all our questions. The tour group was a good size - not too big as others I saw. Highly recommend.

10:30 am tour 30/04/2019 - Initially when you get approached by a tour operator I can see you might be sceptical and indeed we stood in the queue for awhile longer but so glad we took the tour and not just to get out of the very long queue. The knowledge and passion on the tour made the place come alive so much more than an audio guide could deliver and in fact having followed the recommendation on the same day to go to the cathedral after 3pm and having the audio guide this only reinforced my belief. Well worth the extra couple of Euros for a tour that last 1hour 30 minutes later with charm and amusement.
