Italica ruins were worth a day trip from Seville - Ancient Roman ruins with great mosaics, a really nice amphitheater and a tour of a local monastery. I was going to do this by myself but I’m glad I didn’t because I learned a lot on the tour thanks to our guides Miguel and Manuela who were very knowledgeable. Also the logistics were much easier and the tour was reasonably priced. The monastery was a nice surprise too and an interesting side trip.

Family visit to Italica - Jose Luis explained the visit to Italica in great detail. We loved them and we really liked all the historical contextualization. In addition, he has taken into account all our needs when bringing a baby with us.

FUTURE WORLD HERITAGE SITE? - Roman archaeological complex near in the village of Satiponce very close to Seville. It was founded in 206 BC in an indigenous habitat of the turdetania. In this Roman city one of the most important cities of the Roman empire of its time were born two Emperors Trajan and Hadrian. Must-see visit bring water and hat in the hottest months. EU citizens your entry is free other countries are paid a symbolic entry now 1.50 Euros. Whether a guided tour can be taken. There is a lot of talk about requesting that it be a world heritage site such as Medina Azahara or Pompeii. It would surely break the tranquility of the visits but the whole is very important and historic. It is still excavated archaeologically.

Italica - Very friendly and attentive guides!! Despite an intense heat, you enjoy the trip a lot. Very interesting place. Bring water, hats, and if you can get umbrellas or sun visors on hot days, help with the sun and heat.

Journey to the past - A wonderful experience. Our guide was Mari Paz and it is a book of wisdom at such a young age. He has given us such beautiful explanations that he seemed to be going back to times gone by. Really very good option to visit this place because you can appreciate with your own eyes those that many centuries ago were built and still find. Our other wonderful and very funny guide was Antonio Javier who was showing us places and telling stories all the way on the bus. In the end he gave us some very good recommendations to visit that were very helpful. Really a short journey but full of history, wisdom and a lot of laughter. A unique experience!

Great Roman site - Excellent tour. Our guide was knowledgeable (can’t remember her name unfortunately) and provided an insightful tour. The length was just right, 2 hrs, and provided enough time to view the site. It wasn’t busy at all so the skip the line tickets are not necessary. It really transports you back 2,000 years.

Really interesting historical tour, tremendous mosaics and ampitheater - We really enjoyed our tour and our guide (Juanra). The amphitheater is really big (second to only the Coliseum in Rome at the time) . We were pleasantly surprised at how much of he homes had been restored, particularly the large and intricate floor mosaics. The monastery we stopped at on the way back was interesting, although we were somewhat "catheraled out" by that point in our trip. Italica is a short bus ride from Seville - this is a nice half day activity.
