Participants can choose to take the class either seated or standing, although the rhythms are typically performed while seated. You will practice various hand clapping techniques, known as “palmas” in Spanish. The instructor will explain and illustrate different Flamenco rhythmic patterns to ensure a thorough understanding. You will learn to clap these rhythms with your hands while tapping other beats with your feet. This experience will allow you to perform different rhythms in conjunction with Flamenco music, singing, and guitar. You will gain extensive knowledge about Flamenco rhythms and styles! Feel free to take pictures and ask questions to the experienced instructor.
