- AKEMI’s SUSHiKiTCHEN - The Chef boasts 7 years of experience in Japan’s restaurant industry. She has successfully completed the Edomae Sushi Technique Acquisition Course at the Tokyo Sushi School. Utilizing her culinary expertise and English proficiency, she provides an enjoyable and informative Sushi Cooking Lesson in her home. Participants can relish a cozy, residential setting in Japan while learning to prepare four types of sushi. The lesson concludes with a delightful meal crafted by the participants themselves.
Akemi selects only the finest ingredients for sushi, including specially blended rice ordered from Hachidaime Gihey in Kyoto (est. 1787) and fresh fish (“neta”) sourced directly from Toyosu and Tsukiji fish markets. Alongside sushi-making, guests will explore the history of sushi, essential terminology, and sushi dining etiquette. Even Japanese guests have expressed that they gained new insights into their own culinary culture!
Lessons are capped at five students, ensuring ample personal attention. Even if sushi is new to you, rest assured that your hand-prepared meal will be a delightful experience.
