  Situated on Korea’s stunning east coast, Naksan Beach is a cherished location for sunrise viewing. Its expansive golden sands and the gentle sound of the waves create a serene yet festive ambiance, particularly on New Year’s Day when people come to see the first sunrise.   Located on a cliff by the East Sea, Naksansa Temple is a historic Buddhist temple established by the monk Uisang during the Silla Dynasty. Participants can arrive at DDP at their leisure and enjoy some free time to explore. Countdown guests will gather at the DDP subway station Exit 10 at 11:30 PM, while Non-Countdown guests will meet at 12:15 AM.

From there, embark on an overnight journey to one of the beaches. The trip will take approximately 4.5 hours, arriving around 5 AM to witness the first sunrise of the year together.

Enjoy a peaceful morning on the beach until 8:30 AM, followed by a lunch break at a rest area on the return journey to Seoul. Drop-off will be at Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station or Myeongdong Lotte Department by late afternoon.

• Itinerary is subjected to traffic & weather condition.

• It is recommended to have dinner before starting and bring some snacks or a light meal with you.
• The New Year Countdown at DDP is not a guided event. Guests can explore the event freely and should arrive early if they wish to attend.
• Guests who wish to join the New Year’s Eve Countdown at DDP should meet at 23:30.
• Guests who do not join the Countdown should meet at 00:15.
