The Third Tunnel - Explore the 3rd tunnel, which North Korea constructed to invade South Korea.

Unearthed within the Demilitarized Zone on October 17, 1978, following intelligence from a North Korean defector about tunnel construction. The tunnel extends approximately 1.6km southward. Its dimensions allow for the movement of 30,000 troops per hour, and it is situated just 52km from Seoul. Although similar in scale to other tunnels, the 3rd tunnel posed a greater threat to Seoul’s security.

Dorasan Peace Park - Dora Observatory, inaugurated in January 1987, oversees the northernmost point of the Western Front. Located atop Dorasan Mountain, it is the sole location within the DMZ where civilians can view North Korea.
