It is also well-known for the Starbucks café located at the observatory.

The original observatory, constructed in 1978, was later demolished and replaced with the Jogang Observatory, which offers the closest view of the northern land.

Previously recognized for its large Christmas tree, the bright lights were visible from North Korea and led to tensions due to the electricity shortages there. Consequently, the tree was removed, but the staff at Aegibong Peace Eco Park constructed bridges in the shape of the tree. This Eco Park stands as a symbol of peace and harmony.
