Jeongbang Waterfall - This iconic waterfall on Jeju Island is the only one in Asia that cascades directly from land into the sea. Visitors can enjoy dipping their feet in the water. The rock wall of Jeongbang Falls once bore the inscription “Seobulgwacha” in Chinese characters. Legend has it that an envoy of Jin Si-hwang visited Yeongju Mountain (now Hallasan Mountain) in search of “Bulocho” and inscribed words on the rock wall, which were later damaged by a typhoon. The area is rocky, so caution is advised when walking. While descending the stairs is easy, ascending can be challenging. This natural wonder is renowned for its stunning scenery, especially when rainbows appear in photographs.

Oedolgae - Oedolgae Rock (Lonely Rock)
Oedolgae is steeped in a poignant love legend. In a coastal village in Seogwipo-si, a couple lived with their child. One day, the father went fishing but was caught in a storm, and his boat capsized. He never returned, and the mother waited on the beach for decades until she turned to stone. The rock resembles a grandmother carrying a baby. When the father heard the news, he floated ashore and turned into a stone, with his legs submerged in the sea. If you look behind the grandmother, you can see the grandfather’s feet.

Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff - These columnar joints are quadrangular pillars that appear intricately carved, formed by the rapid cooling of thick lava flows. The hexagonal stone pillars, resembling a staircase, create a natural spectacle. The waves crashing against them are breathtaking, sometimes reaching heights of over 20 meters. The Jusangjeolli Cliff on the Jungmun-Daepo Coast is the largest in Korea, standing 30 to 40 meters high and about 1 km wide, and is designated as Jeju Island Natural Monument No. 443.
-
Yongmeori Beach - Located at the base of Sanbangsan Mountain, Yongmeori Coast extends to the sea, resembling a dragon’s head entering the water. The sandstone cliffs, shaped by millions of years of wave action, create a dramatic landscape. The hollow “oyster room” and wave-carved rock walls evoke a sense of history. The 30-50 meter cliffs, curving like a meander, have been featured in commercials and films.

O’sulloc Tea Museum - Opened in September 2001, the O’sulloc Tea Museum showcases domestic and international tea-related items. It blends Eastern and Western traditions with modernity, offering a nature-friendly space for relaxation. Visitors can learn about green tea and traditional Korean tea culture while experiencing Sulloc tea.
Taking photos in the green tea fields is a refreshing experience. Consider setting aside time for family meditation and enjoying a leisurely cup of tea. Amidst the hustle and bustle of city life, this is a perfect opportunity for rejuvenation.
- Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road - The Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road, located on the western edge of Jeju Island, features an offshore wind farm with windmills lining the coast. The white windmills against the emerald sea create a refreshing autumn scene. The road offers various sights, including a beautiful sunset view, making it ideal for photography. The Ecology Experience Center walking course is also accessible from here.
It is a popular filming location for dramas and cycling scenes.
With the sunset, crossing the bridge with the wind generator and exploring the white lighthouse offers a chance to unwind and rejuvenate.
- Hyeopjae Beach - Hyeopjae Beach, located in Hallim-eup, Jeju-si, is a must-visit on the west side of Jeju Island. Part of Jeju Olle Course 14, it is adjacent to Geumneung Beach. The emerald waters provide a healing experience, and at low tide, the silver sandy beach with shells stretches endlessly.
In front of the sea, ‘Biyangdo’ resembles an elephant swallowing a boa constrictor from “The Little Prince.” The sunset over Biyangdo Island is a breathtaking sight. In summer, the beach is open at night, allowing visitors to enjoy Jeju Island’s blue night under palm trees.
Hyeopjae Beach’s shallow waters and gentle slope, along with a pine forest, make it an ideal family vacation spot.
- Handam Coastal Trail - Also known as Gwakgeum Olle Trail, this coastal promenade stretches from Aewol Port to Gwakji Gwamul Beach. It harmonizes beautifully with the surrounding landscape. The 1.2 km trail runs alongside the coast, with waves crashing nearby. It is one of Jeju City’s 31 ‘hidden unexplored places,’ selected in 2009.
The trail features uniquely shaped rocks formed by hardened lava, and the winding path of black rocks adds to the walking experience. Located in western Jeju Island, it offers stunning sunset views, adding to its allure.
