- Jeongbang Waterfall - Jeongbang Falls is one of the top three waterfalls on Jejudo Island, alongside Cheonjiyeon Falls and Cheonjeyeon Falls. It is unique in Korea as the only waterfall where water cascades directly into the sea. Standing 23 meters tall, the two streams of water create a thrilling sound and a stunning view as they tumble down the black cliff. The steep cliffs and ancient pine trees surrounding the falls add to the picturesque scenery, which has been recognized as one of the Ten Scenic Sights of Yeongju, known as “Jeongbanghapok.” Legend has it that the words ‘Seobulgwacha’ are inscribed on the cliffs of Jeongbang Falls.
- Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff - 주상절리(Jusangjeolli Cliff) Jeju Jungmun Resort is not only blessed with beautiful natural scenery but also offers numerous entertainment and convenience facilities for both domestic and international tourists. Jusangjeolli Cliff, located near the International Convention Center Jeju, is a breathtaking sight with its massive rock pillars lining the coastline.
- Oedolgae - Oedolgae, the starting point of Jeju Olle Trail Course 7, is a stone pillar that rises 20 meters high from the sea. Standing alone in the water, it is named ‘Oedolgae’. It is also referred to as ‘General Stone’ and ‘Grandma Rock’. There is a tale that General Choi Yeong adorned this rock like a general during a battle against the Yuan Dynasty, causing the enemy to self-destruct. For the origin of the name ‘Grandma Rock’, refer to the legend below. Beyond the visible rocks, the life of Jeju residents waiting for the sea’s bounty can also be observed.
- Yongmeori Coast - The Yongmeori Coast is named for its resemblance to a dragon diving into the ocean with its head raised (“Yong” means dragon and “Meori” means head in Korean). Yongmeori is a sandstone bed formed by layers of sand deposited over tens of millions of years. The coast’s mysterious scenery is awe-inspiring. At the base of the coast is a Hamel Monument, established by the Embassy of the Netherlands and the Korean Foundation on April 1st, 1980, to strengthen diplomatic ties between Korea and the Netherlands and to honor the dedication and efforts of Hendrick Hamel.
- Songaksan Mountain - Featuring a cinder cone in the center of the crater and its tuff ring, Songaksan Mountain’s peak, which can also be considered its mouth, is 69 meters deep and has retained its active form. Previously known only to those with archaeological interests, it has recently become a popular tour destination, with many narrow paths leading to it. Songaksan Mountain served as Japan’s forward operating base during its invasion of China and was the last line of defense during the final hours of WWII. Remnants of airfields, hangars, and anti-aircraft artillery are scattered throughout, with 15 coastal trenches below the coastal cliff, some of which have naturally decomposed and pose falling hazards. The site holds high preservation value as the cave was constructed using the shore cliff, and the trenches are positioned by the seaside, offering excellent ocean views.
- Sanbangsan Mountain - Sanbangsan Mountain is a trachytic tuff lava dome connected to the sedimentary layer of the Yongmeori Coast in the Sagye-ri, Andeok-myeon area. It is a bell-shaped tholoid that stands prominently in the plains of southwest Jeju, visible from anywhere in the vicinity. It is encircled by Ilju Road, which links Moseulpo Port and Hwasun-ri. Well-maintained stairs allow tourists to climb to Sanbanggulsa Grotto, located on the southern face of Namsa-myeon. To reach the summit of Sanbangsan Mountain, visitors can take the trail behind the mountain leading to Deoksu-ri, Yonghae-dong.
- O’sulloc Tea Museum - The Osulloc Tea Museum, adjacent to the Seogwang tea field in Jeju, is Korea’s first tea museum, opened in 2001 by AMOREPACIFIC to promote and share tea and Korean traditional tea culture. It is a cultural space that blends East and West, tradition and modernity, and includes a tea museum, a nature-friendly rest area, and a cafe where visitors can enjoy delicious and diverse tea-based menus.
- Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road - Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road, located on the northwest side of Jeju Island, features a distinctive offshore wind farm as a prominent landmark. The white windmills and emerald waters along the winding shoreline exemplify the refreshing autumn landscape and provide an eco-friendly method of electricity generation. This road is also one of the most beautiful spots to watch the sunset in Jeju, so don’t forget your camera! An Ecological Experience Center walking course is also available along the coastal road. The observation deck midway along the walking course offers a convenient place to rest and enjoy the view. Stroll along the Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road and create many pleasant memories, along with a photo or two!
- Handam Coastal Trail - 한담해변 (Handam Beach) Handam Beach stretches along the coastline from Aewol-ri Village, located at the northwestern edge of Jejudo Island, to Gwakji Gwamul Beach. Jeju Special Self-Governing Province developed this beach in 2001 as part of a coastline improvement plan to provide islanders and tourists with more diverse opportunities to enjoy the ocean. The plan prioritized harmony with the surrounding scenery. A 1.2 km long winding trail is paved along the beautiful coastline, designed to be as close to the ocean as possible. This is a popular spot for visitors to enjoy a relaxing walk along the vast blue ocean. In July 2009, Jeju-si designated 31 sites representing Jejudo Island, in addition to the already famous tourist sites, and Handam Beach was selected as one of these 31 hidden gems of Jeju-si.
