Excellent tour - Excellent tour. Our guide for the day Adi and the driver were waiting just outside the port gate for us upon arrival. The Boradudur entrance ticket was for the ground only, it would have been nice to have an option to book the temple climb tickets during booking (as these are limited). Fortunately Adi and his company East Journey Travel upgraded our tickets for us and we did the climb with a temple guide. It is a 3 hour drive from the port, but we got back to the port with plenty of time to spare. A great experience and we be one of the highlights of our holiday.

Great site, great guide - It’s a long drive to and from, but it’s definitely worth it. We were looking at temples that were only 10 to 20 years old and this is exactly what we wanted to see. One of the oldest and the largest temple in the world.

Highly recommend this tour - We had Woody for our Tour guide who was so fantastic. Also, the driver really knew how to navigate the traffic and roads. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the day so much. Woody really knew the area and spoke excellent English. Also, Woody was accommodating finding us an excellent place to do some shopping and getting us back to the ship on time.

Borobudur - This was an amazing trip. Our driver did a great job getting us there. We were able to climb up to the top and there were very few other tourists around. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. And the lunch was wonderful. Thanks East Journey Travel

Woody, an excellent guide. - Our guide "Woody Woodpecker" is very jovial, he has a lot of interpersonal skills and explains very well. He shared his wi-fi with the group and shot a video of our visit which he then shared with us. I recommand it. Thanks Woody.

Borobudur is great, but still needs a lot of money - On February 6, 2024, we were picked up from the ship on time. In Borobudur, we got a German-speaking tour guide. It was very informative. Too bad we only saw Borobudur from the outside, the stairs were closed. The small temple Candi Mendut was cozy. We can touch each figure and take lots of photos together.

Truly wonderful temple - A very long drive but worth the trip. Make sure you buy tickets to go to the upper level. Just walking around the base is not good enough. A lifetime experience! Well worth it !

Terrible Guide - Do NOT Use - Writing this review on the way back to the cruise port as we wait for the driver and guide to take a 10 minute smoke break. We were supposed to be met at the port with our name on a sign. Had to call them to find the guide. Finally found him then had to wait for the driver. Finally got going 15 minutes late. Only good part was the driver who made record time. When we got there we had to wait for them to get tickets they should have gotten in advance. The temple itself was beautiful and well worth the visit. Leaving they led us through the shop stalls so he could visit his sister. Wound our way out and walked down the road to meet the driver. Had to wait once again for the guide to have a tea and snacks before we could head back to the ship. Which brings me back to the above mentioned smoke break on the way back. We have been on many, many private tours all over the world and I’ve never felt so disrespected. We felt we were on their schedule instead of our own. The temple is great but use someone else to get there. Never use this company.
