Enjoyed the tour - Really enjoyed the tour. It was a pity it rained. The only part I would cut out are the trips to the shops where people are trying to sell you items.

Ephesus amazing, unadvertisied jewellery shop stop not so much. Hard push on reviews as tour ends - The highlight, and most of the tour was the trip to Ephesus. It seems to be common practice on these tours to make an unadvertised stop at a jewellery outlet for 20-30 minutes where it's well practiced selling in co-ordination with the tour. For me it was a pointless waste of time. Ephesus is amazing. Maria the guide was friendly, but did get facts wrong - eg stating population was 1 million when it was 250k at its peak. It may pay to have a quick google / wikipedia before you go for accurate information. The guide knew the site well and could explain the key spots. The trip was to include the Isa Bey Mosque but this never happened. Finally, there is the big push at the end to leave a positive review, with the guide having a QR code at the ready and addressing each tour guest individually on the bus to leave a review and scan the proffered QR code link. But nothing new here, same thing happened on other Turkey tours I went on, including the jewellery outlet add-on.
