Istanbul to Izmir by Plane and Ephesus Tour (L)

Selcuk - Guests will be picked up from their hotel early in the morning and taken to the airport for a one-hour flight from Istanbul to Izmir. Upon arrival, they will be picked up from the airport and taken to our office in Selcuk Town. At 9:30, guests will be picked up and guided to their vehicle. During the drive to Ephesus, the guide will provide a brief introduction and share information about the area and country.

Ancient City of Ephesus - Upon arrival in Ephesus, the first sight will be the Magnesia Gate, a stunning example of ancient architecture that once served as an entrance to the city.

Bibliotheque de Celsus - Guests will then enjoy a downhill walk with the guide through the city’s ruins. The route includes the Odeon, the Celsus Library,

Efes Antik Kenti Tiyatrosu - and the Great Theater. This theater, one of the city’s best-preserved monuments, is still used today for the local spring festival. It once seated 24,000 people and is believed to be where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians.

Meryemana (The Virgin Mary’s House) - After touring Ephesus, guests will drive to the Virgin Mary House and then enjoy a delicious Turkish lunch.

The Temple of Artemis - After lunch, the tour will visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Sirince - The tour will then proceed to Sirince village, a famous and historic Greek village. After visiting Sirince, the guide will drop guests off at their hotel in Kuşadası.

Pamukkale and Hierapolis (Ancient City) Tour and Flight Back to Istanbul (B-L)

Pamukkale - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Kuşadası, and the guide will lead them to the vehicle. During the three-hour drive to Pamukkale, the guide will provide a brief introduction and share information about the area and country. Upon arrival, lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant before beginning the tour.

Hierapolis & Pamukkale - After lunch, guests will enter from the top of the site in Hierapolis Ancient City, exploring the gymnasium.

Pamukkale Tiyatrosu - The tour will then visit the Amphitheatre, which had a capacity of 15,000 people, and the Temple of Apollo. As guests walk through Hierapolis, the guide will point out and explain all significant structures along the way.

Pamukkale Thermal Pools - Afterwards, guests will remove their shoes and walk along the white terraces of Pamukkale. They can dip their feet in the natural hot springs or head up to the man-made hot spring baths for a swim. In the afternoon, there will be free time. The guide will then bring guests to the airport for their flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival in Istanbul, guests will be picked up from the airport and transferred to their hotel in Istanbul.
Guests must be able to walk approximately 0.5 miles over the travertines without shoes. It is advised to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a comfortable swimsuit.
