• Bláhylur - Bláhylur, also known as Hnausapollur, is a crater lake formed by a massive eruption in 871, just before Iceland was settled. Bláhylur is named for the deep blue color of its water. The striking contrast of the blue water against the darker browns, greens, and greys creates a landscape of remarkable beauty.
• Landmannalaugar - Landmannalaugar is one of the most popular destinations in Iceland’s highlands. The colorful rhyolite mountains, a rock type that produces a spectrum of stunning colors, along with the raven-black lava field of Laugahraun and the numerous beautiful hiking trails, make Landmannalaugar an extraordinary place to visit. After hiking, visitors can enjoy a soak in the hot natural pool.
• Hjálparfoss - A double waterfall surrounded by basalt formations. The name Hjálparfoss means Helper’s Falls. It originated when crossing Iceland on horseback was common, and the horses could finally access green grass and fresh water, rather than glacial water.
