• Kerid Crater - The journey begins at Kleifarvatn Lake, the largest on the peninsula. Its southern section is warmed by hot springs, while the rest remains quite chilly. The lake is ideal for photography, thanks to its volcanic backdrop and vibrant blue waters.
• Geothermal Area Krysuvik - The next destination is the geothermal springs of Krýsuvík, situated along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. The vividly colored hills provide a stunning view of the volcanic vents and steaming hot springs.
• Grindavik - Following that, the tour visits Grindavík, a somewhat secluded fishing village nestled in a small inlet at the southwestern tip of the peninsula.
• Gunnuhver Hot Springs - The tour then proceeds to Gunnuhver hot spring, known for its boiling water and mud pools, which folklore claims are powered by a ghost trapped underground by a priest.
• Reykjanes Lighthouse - Nearby stands the Reykjanes lighthouse, Iceland’s first, originally built in 1878, destroyed by an earthquake eight years later, and completely rebuilt in 1929.
• Valahnúkamöl - Valahnúkar and Valahnúkamöl are unique cliffs and rocks formed from some of the oldest lava on the peninsula, offering a spectacular view of Eldey. This chain, known as Fuglasker or Eldeyjar, includes Geirfuglasker, the site of the last breeding colonies of the Great Auk.
• Bridge Between Continents - The tour continues to the renowned bridge connecting Europe and America, where the European and North American tectonic plates converge, forming the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
• Brimketill - Next is the Brimketill lava rock pool, a small pool at the land’s edge, said to be inhabited by a giantess named Oddný according to folklore. The viewing platform above offers a chance to experience waves crashing against the rocks.
• Blue Lagoon - The final stop is the iconic Blue Lagoon, where guests can enjoy a relaxing bath. Admission to the Blue Lagoon is included in the tour price. The private driver will wait and return guests to their accommodation.
