Silfra Snorkel - January 2026 - We booked the Silfra Snorkelling tour with Arctic Adventures and had an excellent experience. Our guide, Nico, was engaging, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout — a great guide who made everyone feel at ease. The drysuit gear kept us completely dry, and we couldn’t feel the cold of the water at all. The snorkelling itself was absolutely outstanding and a real highlight of our trip to Iceland. We were even treated to hot chocolate afterwards. Highly recommended.

Best Tour Guide - Snorkeling the Silfra Fissure - Absolutely incredible experience. Hernan was our guide for the afternoon - so knowledgeable, personable, and patient to quell any concerns we had about preparing for and being in the water. All the guides on site seemed just as wonderful, but Hernan is tops! The national park is beautiful by itself, but being below in the Silfra Fissure provides a whole new perspective. Thank you, thank you, thank you Hernan!

Amazing snorkel experience! - Fede was an amazing guide - fun, knowledgeable, grip strength of a rock-climbing jazz pianist. We did 3 tours with Arctic Adventures while in Iceland and all 3 were fantastic experiences - they're efficient, safe, organized and they deliver a great experience! The Silfa Snorkel was phenomenal - beautifully clear, I truly felt like I was hovering in mid air. Fede was very helpful to my bearded husband who had trouble getting his mask to seal. Her patience and skill helped him have the best snorkel experience of his life - THANK YOU FEDE!

Snorkeling - I went in August & I totally forgot to write a review. It was so cool, and seeing the tectonic plates looked fake! It does get cold on your face & hands, so if you hate being cold i wouldn’t recommend. But for all the adventurous people out there it is so cool & our guide was awesome.

Great experience just EAT BEFORE YOU GO - MAKE SURE YOU EAT BEFORE YOU GO!!!! My 3 girls (13,14,17) all got sick after exiting the frigid water. They passed out, blood sugar dropped and they were out of it for a good hour before coming around. We hadn’t eaten enough before although I don’t know exactly how much food would have helped but we were told it would have helped somewhat. Our tour guide was great, everyone helped us out and the experience was very cool, would have been great if the cold different affect the kids as much as it did.
