- Thingvellir National Park - Begin the day with a drive from Reykjavik to the historic Þingvellir National Park. This site hosted the Icelandic parliament from 930 to 1798 and is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its rich history and stunning natural beauty. Here, the American and Eurasian tectonic plates converge, offering the unique experience of standing with one foot on each plate.
- Laugarvatn - Laugarvatn is located beside a picturesque lake of the same name in a geothermally active region. The locals utilize the super-heated steam rising in this area to bake rye bread underground!
- Geysir - Renowned globally for its power and beauty, Geysir has become synonymous with this incredible natural phenomenon. Nearby, Strokkur, another hot spring, is highly active, erupting up to 30 meters high every few minutes. Explore the numerous paths and enjoy the bubbling hot springs surrounding you. In the Geysir Area, there is also time to purchase lunch or snacks.
- Gullfoss Waterfall - The next stop is Gullfoss, the Golden Waterfall. As one of Iceland’s most popular attractions, Gullfoss captivates with its sheer power and beauty, cascading 32 meters into a rugged canyon.
- Reykholt - A small town known for its numerous greenhouses.
- Kerid Crater - These three attractions complete the classic Golden Circle, but to enhance the experience further, a stop is made at the magnificent Kerid Volcanic Crater. This 3000-year-old crater is 55 meters deep and provides a unique perspective on the beauty of Icelandic nature.
- Hveragerdi - On the return journey to Reykjavík, the tour passes through the Geothermal Area in Hveragerði, known for its famous greenhouses powered by renewable energy and horse farms. After a brief drive through a mountain pass, the Hellisheiði Geothermal Power Plant is also visible.

This tour is an 8-hour small-group experience, offering a more personal and intimate adventure.
To maximize the experience along the route, consider an optional stop at the Geothermal Park & Bakery. Here, visitors can taste the renowned geothermal bread and witness the newest Icelandic geyser, Eilífur.

This Golden Circle tour has all the hotspots - This tour was exactly what we had hoped for to see some of the highlights of this amazing country!! We had plenty of time at each stop and Walter kept things fun and upbeat. Our tour ran in the reverse of this description which was great because the sites were less crowded. Also, it was super being in a smaller group of only 13. We really appreciated the speedy and clear communication with Nice travel.

Great experience! - The golden circle tour was a great experience. Our guide Monica was full of life, explaining and giving information and guidance along the way. She went out of her way to make sure we have the best experience of. Golden circle.
The van however, could get a little cramped in if all 17-19 passengers are on board.
Fortunately, for us, on the golden circle tour, our van was only 60% full.

Great trip - Really excellent tour with Addi, all the main sites covered with lots of info and enough time at each stop and a couple of extra stops thrown in. My son loved feeding the horses (the right food of course!) Highly recommend- there were 18 on our trip.

Thank you Walter! - Walter was fantastic! So enthusiastic and passionate about his job. He gave us more than ample time to see everything on our own. It would’ve been nice if we had him accompanying us to the sites too rather than giving us the explanations on the ride.

Perfect trip - Had an amazing day with our guide Fillip. From pick up to drop off everything was great (sadly the weather was not in our favour but it’s Iceland after all) our guide was great fun and explained the places we were visiting so well but also loved his play lists which fitted so well with the locations we were at Plenty of time at each stop to enjoy the sights
We added the geothermal bakery which is not to be missed The bread is delicious and complimented by the egg boiled in the hot springs
It was nice to be part of a smaller group which made everything much more personal We all thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend Nice travel

Perfect way to do Golden Circle tour - Filip our driver/guide was friendly, informative, entertaining and knowledgeable about Iceland history, geography and landscape.
We would certainly travel with Nice travel again and endorse him as a very capable tour guide.
