- Geysir - Explore the hot spring area in Haukadalur, home to Geysir, the namesake of all geysers. Although the original Geysir is currently inactive, its sibling Strokkur erupts spectacularly every few minutes.
- Gullfoss Waterfall - This breathtaking waterfall is a highlight of the Golden Circle tour. The experience of witnessing thousands of tons of glacial water cascading every second is indescribable and truly awe-inspiring.
- Kerid Crater - An optional stop, this stunning red cinder cone is a perfect spot to stretch your legs and explore Iceland’s volcanic landscape on the return journey from the waterfall. The admission fee is modest (approximately $5 USD) and contributes to the area’s upkeep.
- Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin - Another optional stop, this is an ideal final destination before heading back to Reykjavik. As one of Iceland’s oldest swimming pools, built about a century ago to teach swimming, it has been charmingly restored. The pool is shallow (around 3 feet deep) and filled with clear, warm water. A dip in this lagoon rejuvenates both body and spirit, leaving you feeling as if you’re gliding rather than walking back to your car.
The admission fee is approximately $35 USD per adult, with reduced rates for children and seniors.
