Star Gazing in Sedona - Our trip out to see the stars was muted by the moon. We went out on August 3rd. When we got there we walked out to the telescopes and chairs with blankets in case we got cold. I think it was still 100 degrees out! The coyotes were screaming and our guides told us they were happy as they were eating but it felt close by. While I was expecting to see the milky way I understand the moon was in the way making the stars less vibrant. We did get to see 'shooting stars' and satellites. We got to hear about the constellations and a ton of Greek mythology that came from my childhood looking at stars with a flashlight and a book. Hearing about Andromeda, Perseus, Cassiopeia, the big dipper and the north star. We got to see several stars through the telescope. The guides knew the information and you can tell they enjoy what they do. The grand finale was seeing the moon through the telescope. As it was almost 3/4 full it was incredibly bright. But on the rim of the crater it really looked like the handle of a tea cup. It was so cool. I am sad we are now home very far way from Sedona and not able to experience the night sky and the persied meteor showers. It was an enjoyable evening with my husband and walk down memory lane of star gazing as a child. Will seek them out again if we visit again and prey for no moon!

Star-Struck! - This was so cool! Didn’t really know what to expect, but we were taken onto a soccer field where nice chairs were waiting and three gigantic telescopes. Our guides have to be the most knowledgeable on all things stars and space out of anyone we’ve ever met! So interesting and such an awesome experience for all ages!!

Awesome stargazing experience - The tour operators were very knowledgeable. They answered many questions from the audience. They used laser pointers to show us constellations, distant stars, planets, and satellites. There were two huge teiescopes to look through and see star clusters and colorful stars. It was a fun way to spend an evening in Sedona, and comfortable as well ( chairs provided.) .

Find experience. Knowledgeable team. - That was a fun experience. The team was very knowledgeable and the equipment was great. They had chairs and blankets for every participant. The team used a laser to point constellations and stars, making it so easy for us to see what is being discussed. The telescopes used were massive. Very good experience.
