Very informative, beautiful farm with lots of very cute alpacas.
Steve took us on the Farm tour. Not only did we get to meet the animals, we also learned a great deal about the Alpacas, dogs, Llama and the raising, breeding and farming of them. It was very interesting, educational, and fun! The on-site store has some lovely items for all ages as well. We were very impressed about how well the animals and property are taken care of.
Extremely informative! Had a great time hangin with the alpacas! -Laney n Wendy
We had a fun and informative visit. Learned about the Alpaca's here and around the world. How the farm works, the migrating shearers and enjoyed getting close enough to pet the Alpacas and see the many babies. Ended our visit in the store and saw various Alpaca products that were so soft and beautiful!
Our children (7, 7, and 6) love alpacas so we decided to surprise them with a visit to Sawdust Hill Alpaca Farm during our vacation. Steve, our guide and the owner of the farm, gave us a wonderful tour. He first gave us some background of the Camelid family (alpacas, camels, llamas) then a walk through of the farm. We all got a lot of petting time with the alpacas. Ruby, one of the females, is the sweetest! She followed us around and let us pet her. There were three new babies who are curious and cute! The children and us had a great time. The farm is a beautiful piece of property surrounded by green trees. The alpacas have some nice accommodations and are very well taken care of. Highly recommended for adults and children alike. One piece of advise - you should give yourself at least an hour ahead of ferry departure time. In the summer the line can be very long. The ferry we wanted to take was full so we had to wait for the next one and were late to our tour. Although the owners were very nice and were flexible in accommodating us.
