Didn’t take any fish home. Picked wrong time of year. Thought rates where a little high for catch and release. Captain and boat very nice

My interest was ling cod fishing, which had open season, not rockfish fishing, which did not. But unlike all previous trips with ASF, we used 2 inch perch pogie bait on my line, which were extremely attractive to rockfish, but not to kings, which were only caught on sanddabs on this trip. So every time I put a line down, it caught a rockfish which had to be dealt with, instead of spending time fishing for lings. I asked about desiring to fish with sanddabs, but captain kept me on pogies.
