Experience was great. Just wanted to catch more fish. I understand Salmon was out of season.
It was a good time but cold and we didn't catch anything. The staff was capable and I felt safe.
Would have been fully satisfied if we had caught some keepers. The captain worked very hard to make that happen. Like I told everYonex, it was a good day to go fishing but it wasn't a good day to catch'email. We loved our fishing trip.
It was fun! Thanks
Gary and Tim were great company and guides on my fishing excursion, with my father in law. I will come back to these guys to get more pointers on fishing for chinook salmon in Puget Sound.
I have never been "deep sea fishing" before, so, I wasn't sure what to expect. We were fishing for Blackmouth salmon, so again not sure how that impacted the experience. I have fished hundreds of times (trout and bass). It felt like we were troll fishing for trout, but just on a larger scale. Hook a fish and real it in.... That being said, Gary our Captain and Jim our deck hand were amazing. Great guys and they worked hard for us. Gary knows the area and moved from spot to spot to get us the best possible fishing.
The guides were great and we had a great time!!
The Captain (Nick) was great. The boat was great. The water was great. The fishing was not great, but that is not the captain or the charter's fault. Just bad timing with closed fishing areas, hot weather and near a full moon with clear skies. I will be a future customer and try again. Thanks for the great correspondence.
Capt. Len was great and was easy to have conversation with. He had very good knowledge of the sound and sea life. My grandfather and I had learned a lot from Len. The boat was great and it was very clean. The only bad part of the trip was the regulators made us fish in a different area that the charters had not fished in, and we only caught two salmon that were two small to keep. It's completely out of the control of All Star Fishing Charter. I would definitely book with All Star Fishing Charter again, and probably will later this summer. It was a fun, relaxing experience on the sound.
I will just say, I have been on other company charters before and had a more pleasant experience. Others had made it an adventure not just a fishing trip. All of us caught Salmon and weather was good.
Gary is a great captain and Jim is a great deck hand. Friendly, knowledgeable, answered a lot of our questions. As luck would have it, and luck is always a factor, the fish were not biting. So we caught only one keeper. Will definitely go with Allstar again.
I am mostly please with your company, just that we caught no fish this time.
Captain was a bit off in that he couldn't keep three lines in water without tangling. Having accomplished this myself many times with down riggers I personally think he was turning too tight and making lines tangle. I've also fished myself and with other charters with two lines on one down rigger and not had this issue. Bottom line with 4 people paying and two rods in the water we didn't get the bang for our buck we should have gotten. Also wish I'd know the limits before booking. Keeping two cohos and being done is not worth $220 in my opinion, especially when we didn't get two each.
Clean and professional
Captain Gary worked very hard to see that we caught fish, and was very pleasant to be with. This was a trip that I and my two sons will remember. Thank you so much. Daniel Howard
Had a great time on the boat. Guide and deck hand were both friendly and knowledgeable. Concerned with our comfort and with catching fish. Very nice trip.
I had a great time and learned a lot. Captain Len is very professional and ready to share his wellspring of knowledge. Jim is on top of his game, he makes sure everyone has bait that is frisky to attract the lingcod at all times. Highly recommended.
Captain and crew were great and were knowledgeable about the fish in the area and about fishing in general. Would have liked to know ahead of time that it is customary to tip - especially as I had only brought enough cash to cover the base cost. Also would have liked to know in advance what the itinerary was going to be (that we'd be catching live bait first before doing the actual fishing for the fish we came to catch). Overall though, great experience. Thank you!
